I don’t know if this has been talked about before, but I’d been struggling with nasty pitch shifting glitches and crackles when using CV/Gate triggers from ansible and teletype to the multisample mode in disting (e.g. when playing the soft piano). I believe these disappear when doing it by i2c, but sometimes it’s nice to just be able to patch a cable
The solution is to increase the gate offset parameter in the multisample mode (parameter number 49). It defaults to 0, but you can increase it. This delays the sampling of the CV after it receives a gate, so that the CV has fully settled on its new value. I’m not exactly sure what the units are for this, but I’ve found that somewhere around 200 worked for me for teletype.
Hope this helps someone out there!
