I also marked myself as interested in a full kit or board with SMD pre-soldered. I guess there is not that many thru-hole components (screen buttons, encoders and jacks ?).
Will pick up a 2host pcb too when Fates is available
I think I’ll use it with a Pi3 B+, seems easier for now regarding cooling issues.
Anyway, congratulations for your amazing work !

signed up for the full monty
excitement intensifies

I’m pretty sure I’ll buy two of them!

Marked my interest, didn’t have an option for two but that’s what I’ll gladly order.

marked my interest for a bare pcb. thx for this!

very excited for this

You can visually confirm with the PCB image up at the top post, but here’s a list of the thru-hole components (off the top of my head)

1x20 display header (display)
1x20 display header socket (pcb side)
2x20 raspberry pi header
9 electrolytic capacitors
5 audio jacks
3-4 encoders
3 buttons

Thanks for all the interest so far!

Definitely in for at least one PCB. Do you know what your licensing restrictions will be? i.e. can I build 3 and sell 2?

Two now waiting over here… me and a rPi4

marked interest for pcbs. really excited to build this!

Interest in kit for sure. Not sure I’m up to the task of building, but sometimes you have to throw caution to the wind.

I’m eventually releasing the board as CC BY-NC-SA (Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike) so resale is a question. If it’s just one or two, I’m not terribly worried about it. My concern is more for someone doing bulk resale. Then also how to handle support for 3rd party builds.

I’ve been watching this thread obsessively and put myself down for a full kit.

Pi3 B+ currently on sale at local shop. Stars aligning. Face smiling.

Great work!

I marked myself as interested in the full kit, but I’d be happy with a partial one too.

Full kit would be sweet, partial or just boards are fine too, but if I don’t need to source parts , yay!

I also expressed interest in a full kit. And I too, hopelessly helpless as I am, would love it if I didn’t have to source parts—or at least was given some guidance on how/where best to do so.

Interested in a kit as well!

I have a mouser cart saved, so that should make it easier for people.

…but unfortunately the 15mm shaft encoders (in either flatted or knurled) are out of stock right now at both Mouser and Digikey. The 20mm shaft ones are available in either place. Switch caps are also in low supply.

I’m hoping this does not turn into another “Great 16n Fader Shortage of 2019” situation.
