I’ve been streaming Hell and High Water a lot lately. It’s from Nick Cave and Warren Ellis.
Always loved this and everything Carpenter wrote for his movies.
Magic.
just saw rogue one and (w/o spoiling it) like the way sound was handled for the most part

Hard to say, but my favorite within the last couple years is the Ex Machina soundtrack: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BgKhOv1xTmA
Don’t care if people turn their noses up at this, but they’re masters of production across so many genres, classical included. It’s my favorite soundtrack among many others.
Not so long ago I bought “Flimscores two” from Orla Wren… it’s kinda a soundtrack, worth checking out.
Tv OK?
The soundtrack to Luke Cage is amazing.
That’s a good one.
I really like the soundtrack to the original Solaris too.
one of my favorites:
I’ve been listening to the soundtrack for Arrival a lot in the last few weeks
Also, earlier this year -

Re: arrival
TV is more than OK. That is a great score.
Some great music here!
One of my favourite synth soundtracks is from Andromeda Strain (1971) - music by Gil Melle
Also there is an absolutely fantastic BBC documentary series about film music, presented by composer Niel Brand. The 3rd (and last) episode is about synths in film music, going all the way back to the use of trautonium on The Birds soundtrack. The other 2 episodes are great too.
Don’t know how I forgot this one earlier!
