Keen to get some opinions on stutter type pedals, looking at the Ottobit and Fabrikat and wondering if there is anything else I should consider…

I think they may have stopped making it but they pop up used sometimes. My bandmate still uses one of the boss dd5(?) for glitch stuff. We also love the EHX freeze and Count to 5 but not really stutter specific.
Have the boss MD200 and the slicer feature can work quite nicely but not exactly what I want.
ill check them out, I was also thinking about the blooper but it looks like its quite wild to control from the vids I’ve seen.
You should check out MWFX Judder. Also, I got a Blooper yesterday and the mods actually make this qualify as a stutter effect aswell.

I had the Ottobit for a while. Very cool pedal and the stutter is sublime. All the sounds you can get from it (going from simple stutter and even toneshaping to completely obliterated bitcrushed arpeggios) are great, but I sold mine because when the bitcrushing would make the volume jump up quite a bit. That made it for me unusable in a band situation. Would’ve loved if it had a volume knob…

Malekko Charlie Foxtrot excels as a stutter pedal. The MASF Possessed stutters and glitches as well as any. We can look also to the Catalinbread CSIDMAN which produces glitched artifacts as well as any scratched CD.

I’ve had the old wooden Judder on my mind for years, but wondering if I’d have things covered with the CT5 and Super Flutter?
my favorite by far is the masf possessed. Borderline uncontrollable but for my tastes, it’s perfect.

Don’t know about the Super Flutter but I own a CT5 and it’s a different thing than what I can recall from Judder. I had to pass it on fairly quickly for various reasons. Never owned a Tensor but that seems to be a cool stuttery effect aswell.

Ezhi & Aka is another company to look into if you’re after glitchy stuff. Very lofi, handmade and probably every pedal is more is less unique. Beautiful aesthetics aswell.

What about chase bliss Mood? It’s much broader than a straight up stutter pedal, but in a way that makes it a powerful and flexible instrument. There’s room for many different stutter behaviors between the env and tape modes on the one side, and also the slip mode on the other side. Add the modulation capabilities and the interaction between the two sides and you get a powerful stutter ++ platform…

mood, dwarfcraft grazer, stamme(n), molecular disruptor, and some pladask which i have not tried but look very similar to the drolo fx stuff.

Possibly not really what you’re after but in combination with a few other select pedals this Telegraph Stutter kill switch pedal is one of my favourites for hand crafted stutters and glitches.
But it’s really nothing fancyful or intricate to be honest.
