Plus one.
Either tun or scl files.

With support for microtuning I would buy all Blisko stuff.

Sounds like a nice idea but this would take a lot of hacking of the engine and being a musician, I’d honestly prefer to focus on making music

Imagine how much more fun music-making would be if you could play your instrument in tune!

That’s a fair argument

Tomek,

I would be surprised if there wasn’t someone here on Lines who would be happy to help you add that functionality.

It would be an amazing addition to your amazing instruments!

The latest packages require a restart, which seems overkill for something which doesn’t install any drivers, is this intended behaviour? I’m running macOS Catalina.

Restart is only required if you install the AU plugin because otherwise, Logic won’t see it.

Ah! That makes sense (sorry, I don’t use Logic, wasn’t aware of that). The Lekko installer doesn’t give you a choice, btw.

Cheers!

I used all the felt instruments stuff with MPE for the first time this morning. It really opens up a whole new level of expression. Especially with some of the more abstract patches on Lekko. Super cool!

Blisko Viola is now at v1.0.4. This update adds two new features I’m truly excited about. First is the DIVISI mode (proudly named by the community), which cycles the notes between different players.

The second one is an addition of a capture of my super-rare WSW EQ modules. You can now have the sound, including a WSW line preamp, right in the interface. And it sounds great.

You can grab it here: https://feltinstruments.com/updates

The inventor of the .tun file format has made his C++ library for implementing microtonal support available under an MIT license.

I believe that this code has been used, at last as a starting point, by the developer of Big Tick Rhino.

Bam! If you have pre-ordered the Blisko Collection, you’ll find something exciting in your inbox. For the rest of us - I’m very happy to announce that the cello will be out next week

maybe I missed them but are there some examples of these beautiful instruments being used with MPE? I’ve been on the fence about getting a linnstrument for a while now but the fact that these are MPE compatible could very well put me over the edge. Can I do somewhat avant garde poly pitch bends? And we’re pretty much limited to the DAWs that support mpe like bitwig or logic correct? Thanks!

I don’t have any examples yet, but I just bought a Roli Seaboard to use with these instruments and my Tasty Chips GR-1. I just played around for a few minutes and am blown away. The MPE makes them feel so much more expressive. Poly pitch bends seem to work on a lot of the patches, though not all. Need to explore that a bit more. I’m using Reaper, which is compatible with MPE.

Awesome thank you so much for that info! And thanks for the tip about reaper!

I also recently bought a Seaboard Block to use specifically with Felt Instruments. It works great with both Ableton and Reaper for me, and it really really opens up the expressive-ness of the strings in particular.

Would you consider posting a demo?

Yeah I’ll try to put together some clips in the next couple days!

How is the seaboard to use? I’ve read accounts that you have to press pretty hard when using the thing…
