The way that the new version is created should allow for a port to iPad. However, getting the plugin ready for both PC and Mac and making sure it works everything as it should is already quite complicated, so adding a third system is not something I’m planning to do in the nearest future.

such great news
cant wait to try this!

Thanks for the reply, I thought that would be the case.

Hope it makes it to the App Store at some point, the UI design looks great and would be awesome to interact with that on an iPad.

Hi guys! There’s been a bit of delay but the update is (finally!) coming next week. It will be free for everyone who purchased Lekko :slight_smile: In the meantime - if you’d like to get a little sneak-peak before the release, please, let me know at hello@feltinstruments.com

Can’t wait! I was actually about to make a track with the Novation SL MkIII and VSTs/Reason Rack devices. I’ll hold off until this is released!

It’s coming tomorrow!

Been waiting! Will be one of my main VST’s in VCV Rack! Any chance you’ll run a similar early bird special for the VST that you did for the Kontact version?

I believe in pricing the libraries in a fair way to begin with, so the intro offer is going to be the only sale for this and future libraries. So no Black Friday, no Christmas sales, no nothing :wink: However, customers who own one of the libraries will get a special discount on the new releases on top of the intro price.

20 characters of yay.

Can you clarify if the vst will be free or an extra charge for folks who already bought the Kontakt version?

I thought I remembered you saying that but I certainly could be wrong.

Thanks!

It will be free. It’s not on the website (yet!) but actually, once you purchase a library, you’ll getting lifetime free updates for it.

Does it still require Kontakt, or is it a standalone plugin?

No, it’s a standalone plugin now :slight_smile: That’s the key feature!

Here’s what’s changed:

  • Lekko and Wolno now run as standard VST / AU plugins.
  • Lekko now supports MPE! That’s right. You can now perform the Afterglow patches with a Roli Seaboard or similar controller, adding an unique expression on per-note basis. Personally, this has always been a dream for me so I’m really excited about this feature. I think I’ll do a version for the Expressive E Touche in the nearest future as well. Stay tuned!
  • There’s now a beautiful articulation browser right on the interface. Simply click on the patch name on the top left, select an instrument you want to play and enjoy the sonic bliss;
  • On the computers I’m using to test everything, the 1.2 version uses up to 30% less CPU . Hopefully it will be lighter for your machine, too;
  • After a month of playing with Lekko, I’ve decided to tweak the top layer of the ‘Yellow Dreams’ patch a little. I like subtle stuff but I honestly feel like this one was just too subtle to hear. The change is more dramatic now and in general, more in line with the original intention;
  • Some of the ‘Afterglow’ patches were re-balanced to make the sound more cohesive and performance-friendly;
  • The interface is now Retina-ready . This basically means sharper graphics and text;
  • The knobs’ ranges have a wider range now so you can tweak the instruments in more detail;
  • There’s now an effect highpass filter knob added to the Detailed Tweaks page. I felt like adding a lot of reverb and delay could end up muddying the sound a bit so the idea here is to remedy that;
  • I’ve decided to do some subtle tuning for a few of the tremolo notes;
  • The sustain pedal bug is now fixed . And now the sustain pedal noise has round robin repetitions.
  • All parameters are available for automation in your DAW.

On the site is lists being for Kontakt. Does buying it send me to the area where I can download it?

I’m updating the site as we speak. But yeah, once you buy it, you’ll get a Pulse download code (it’s a download manager that makes the sample extraction process super-fast automatic) for the samples and a link to the installation files that handle the plugin setup.

If you want to give it a try before purchase, why don’t you download Wolno - feltinstruments.com/Wolno - which is free, works as a plugin as well and might be a good chance to see how the setup process looks like?
