Didn’t have time today, so I just replaced Lekko with Jasno in a couple of little generative things I had made over Christmas, played around a bit, and I really love it. Incredible work, thank you - can’t wait to have some proper quality time.

Will Lekko fun on a 2011 Mac Mini with Lion 10.7? 64 bit.

I’m also getting a validation error. :sob:

Really loving Jasno @tslesicki. Here is a quick improvisation using only Er-301 and samples from Lekko and Jasno.

Hi guys! The past few days were absolutely crazy. I’ll be posting an official announcement here any moment now. Thanks so much for spotting Jasno and all the love

It’s been reported that there’s in fact a Logic Pro X validation error that might occur on certain system cofigurations. I’m working on solving the issue as we speak and I’ll get back to you once it’s done. Please, accept my sincerest apologies, I promise to fix this soon!

I’m extremely proud to announce that Jasno [i ̯asno], my second instrument (quite a fragile creature!) is out in the wild. It is a delicate recreation of a forgotten German instrument that sounds like a cross between a celeste, a music box, a hang drum and who knows what else.

Jasno takes a deep sampled Hohner Guitaret (made for only two years in the 60s and then dropped out of production, recently rediscovered by Nick Cave and Warren Ellis in their scoring work) and presents it for the new generation as a deep sampled instrument, featuring both traditional and extended articulations, as well as cutting-edge sound design.

The instrument works as a standard VST / AU plugin for Windows and Mac so no need for Kontakt or any other player software. Plus it natively supports both MPE, Expressive E Touche and standard MIDI CC.

Check it out here:

Are demos available? Did look but can’t see anything. Only asking as I need this to run on OSX 10.7 and am not sure if it will.

As long as it’s 64 bit, it should work. You can always grab Wolno, which is my free library that’s based on the same architecture. If it will work, Jasno will too.

Ahh, Pulse won’t work with anything less than 10.9. Any other way to use these?

“no need for Kontakt”

Can you please clarify: I bought your first instrument as a Kontakt instrument, but it feels like you have now abandoned Kontakt support, is that correct? For my use, Kontakt is far preferable than a new VST/AU for every instrument…

I didn’t realize this thread was a proper noun, and I was not familiar with their stuff.

I am disappointed to not find instruments made of felt.

You felt misled but you were not, as the felt is what make a piano piano.

Yeah, it’s always a choice there. But actually, the VST / AU thing was the most popular request since the release of Lekko and I’m just a guy making sounds on his own so doing two formats at the same time is not really an option for me. Plus, there’s no MPE support which is very hard to pull in Kontakt.

Can we buy without paying VAT if we have a valid european VAT number? I commonly do it when buying from countries inside the EU.

Sure!

And, by the way - Jasno just got updated to 1.0.1 and now works in Logic as it should. Next time I’ll triple-check everything for this DAW, lesson learned!
