This looks incredible, amazing work!

I also have an issue with Flora not appearing in Maiden, do you have any idea why that might be? Iā€™ve obviously refreshed the ā€˜Communityā€™ section, but it doesnā€™t appear.

@Comoving_Observer, Iā€™m afraid I donā€™t know what the issue might be if you have already tried to refresh the ā€˜Communityā€™ section in Maiden and Flora still doesnā€™t appear for you there.

It does appear for me in Maiden. Also, I just confirmed the script appears as expected in the norns-community.json file where community programs are all listed.

I hope you are able to get it sorted out successfully!

this is awesome!

when I try and boot flora up, norns gives me an error saying that it is ā€œmissing BandSawā€. any idea how to fix this?

Just got round to putting this on my Shield, itā€™s been quietly doing its own thing in the background for an hour now and I wanted to say a big ā€˜thank youā€™ to @jaseknighter for putting it out into the world - itā€™s really been hitting the spot on a chilly London morning!

I still understand very little of whatā€™s going on, but Iā€™m loving it. Getting some good ratcheting percussion. I like leaving it on in my office and stop by to tweak it every now and then.

A new version of Flora (v0.1.0-beta) is now available that includes the following updates:

  • Envelope and Bandsaw Engine output parameters from the plow and water screens may now be sent to midi, just friends, and crow.
  • The following new parameters may be used to control Flora with the 16n faderbank on multiple midi cc channels:
    ā€“ plow1:midi cc channel
    ā€“ plow2:midi cc channel
    ā€“ water: midi cc channel

Iā€™ve posted a video that demonstrates these new capabilities:

Slowly understanding how to interact with this script and it is beautiful! Snowing heavily here today, no traveling into the city for work; my houseplants and I are watching the snow swirl past windows and letting flora play us a tuneā€¦

Right now Iā€™m finishing up one of the enhancements requested by @mlogger to save Plow (envelope) parameters. I expect Iā€™ll be able to add your request to this batch of changes when it gets released (hopefully in the next few days). Iā€™ll make an announcement when it is ready.

yeah, great idea to have some sort of meta-sequencer this way - that would be a killer feature! i wonder, if this could be done somehow with @infinitedigits tmi script?

@mlogger and @moono, Iā€™ll see if I can put some kind of basic pset sequencer together for the upcoming update. Itā€™ll be just for Flora, but I have a vague feeling it may be portable to other apps. Weā€™ll see how it goesā€¦
