I just need to double the number of knobs and rearrange the layout. and add some pushbutton control for mute/unmute latch type things in whatever DAW I end up using (currently non but it changes…) I looked at things like Livid Brain but its actually a lot more then I need… and quite $pendy too.

Might also add some LED underlighting (not actually responsive to presses etc but colour coded for ease of memory) and easy to see as I like to work in pitch black

again this all seems like a great circuit project if you’re interested to learn it. i can post tips here, but mainly you’ll need to learn eagle (i don’t recall you mentioning if you have already)

i still have two unpopulated PCBs if anyone wants them.

paid $80 each.

also if anyone wants to get these direct from osh in the future:

Order from OSH Park

I have eagle, and taught myself how to use it – needs upgrading but I can use it. I may just post progress as I used to do. Hmmm.

Are there still PCB’s for this? @tehn should I PM you if so? Lovely project

i have some PCBs, but i’m out until august 7. catch me then.

Actually I might need one too but I’m not sure at all I could build it, having 0 experience in thus sort of things (wantinf to try though). how much would it cost to buy the knobs and the enclosure?

@Oootini did you get these made? Any chance you have a spare PCB you are willing to sell?

necro-bump. cleaning studio, found 2x pcbs. $40 shipped in the US. cost $80 from osh!

I’ll would possibly take one! How much would uk shipping be?

twleve us dollars for intl ship

shall I pm you? lets do it

I have sent you a PM about this, thanks

I’ll take the other one. I have an arc on order so it can just be thrown in with that. If that’s cool then let me know how to $$ this.

done then, the pcbs are now gone

Hey, Quick one, would a teensy 3.2 work with the pcbs? I can get one of these in the same order as some pot’s and knobs, at a really good price, or would this fundamentally break anything?
Thanks

yes

3.0, 3.1, 3.2 are all pin-compatible and code-compatible. 3.2 just adds more RAM and phatter 3.3v regulator. basically older 3.x are obsolete

Hey Guys, Thought i’d share my WIP on one of these! And ask a few questions before I resort to destroying it with a soldering iron…
Do my teensy mounting headers look correct? ’ I believe I am missing one atm’ as I ran out of them’
Also do the pads in the middle need soldering to the board? this looks quite tricky to do. How would you approach this?
Assuming I am on the right path here!, it would be great to get some advice.

Cheers

Ali

The SMD headers for the “middle” of the teensy have to be soldered to the Teensy first.

Hey sorry for the late reply on this one,
I have just got around to soldering mine together, I’m noticing midi noise on c3, constantly jumps around quite rapidly like noise,
The other pots seem to respond fine but obviously difficult to tell until I fix this one, I removed the pot entirely and the same thing happens. I’ve gone over all my solder joints expect the pads in the middle as these are now inaccessible once soldered together, but pretty sure they where clean, any ideas what this could be?
