op-z dmx lights in the lower right hand corner of the photo!

as for the bed… that’s waiting for you here in my guest bedroom in vegas!!!

Any chance you’d share some links/info for your OPZ dmx light setup? Those look like the ones from their demo. My journey into figuring out lowest cost dmx set up wasn’t super appealing.

I just took delivery of one of these kalimbas, and wowee! It’s so clean and loud! very impressive for the price

Morph has already proven to be a great potential friend of Norns but this is seriously tempting me to pick up a Morph…

NAMM gas: Red Panda Particle (new stereo version) and Srtymon Volante are top of the list for the dual norns!

DIY kalimba with piezo!

The keys are street sweeper bristles, once you start seeing them on the street you can’t stop

I always pick them up when I see them.

Using some crude code, getting norms to kick out midi data to shuttle control, which in turn is set to output 1v/oct out to VCO. First experiment, now need to look at using some of those spare 15 outs!

I love using Norns with Shuttle Control! I wrote Strides with 8 midi trigger outs and 8 cc outs, just so I could use all 16 outputs

Ah! I didn’t know that! It’s in another thread isn’t it? Must check it out.

FYI ~ CV.OCD is a great companion for those not using euro but still want cv. I use a simple iConnectivity mio usb device from the norns to the CV.OCD. I’m a Serge user so I also use a low-gain UTL / BugBrand 1/8" -> banana cables for format jumbling. Best part about the CV.OCD is how highly configurable the MIDI settings are, it fits right in with norns ability to be completely customized for the user’s needs.

Mind doing a screen cap of your SC setup?

I don’t have my SC with me at the moment, but it’s a very simple setup.

SC outs 1-8 are set to Midi channel 1, Trigger Note Uni, and the notes C-2 to G-2.
SC outs 9-16 are set to Midi channel 1, CC smoothed (uni or bi), and CC #'s 1-8.

Then in Strides I just set midi notes and cc numbers accordingly  easy peasy

nb: Notes C-2 to G-2 for SC are midi notes 0 - 8 in strides and foulplay

Norns wifi friend

edit: it’s a Panda Wireless PAU06 and it “just works” with norns. So much better reception/signal strength!

Awesome! Can you still use the other three usb ports or does it cover its neighbor port?
