I guess it depends on how you want to approach it. For all the TPV2 programming I’ve been doing I’ve been working a 16 value list which represents a single varibrightness row, and then just chopping, fading, summing, clipping, scaling that list.
It’s been pretty good as you can do all sorts of Max/zl stuff to lists, then just send it to a [prepend /monome/grid/led/level/row 0 7] and it’s easy for me to “think” this way.
