Hi, I wonder what to do if in the mood of cleaning the buttons of my 2nd unit 128GS as buttons seems IMHO just slightly less reposnsive on the touch ( I mean I have to press harder than my 64GS unit ) I mean it works but what should I do eventually to clean or check for buttons replacement? I don’t own the key to open the case and how dangerous it is to do that? are buttons still available to sell for that unit? were to ask for a quote? any tips fpr a good mainteinance? I found a monome test max patch but it does nothing on MAx 7 … is there an alternative in order to check for functionality? Thanks

M

Thanks, is the key an HEX key for disassembling?

Yes, sorry forgot to add the gs disassembly guide

Much Appreciate, thanks…love to take care of my units u see

there is no equivalent for european 1/16 Hex key… I may just order one on ebay, do you suggest kind of this one

also I may suffer of a slight flickering connection although I can’t pretend the sensitive touch on all buttons, I was thinking to clean the pads and check for ‘junk’ on the ribbon parts and by that I assume the black rings on each button?

Have you tried with a regular 1.5mm?
I didn’t even know there existed a imperial set of hex screws :flushed:

no, I rather not take the risk of losing the hex head, apparently 1/16 is different from a 1.5mm , 1/16 is 0.63"

cordial greetings everyone,

not sure if someone had mentioned this, or anyone else is facing similar issues, but im just wondering if anyone has tips for cleaning/ maintaining the greyscale 64 (circa 2012).
