Guitar issues after storage

Anyone ever have a pickguard go ‘baggy’? My 52 reissue telecaster has been in storage and now its like the pickguard has grown and there are 2-3mm gaps around it. Just buy a replacement or has anyone got a trick for fixing it? I was thinking to try a heat gun. I have an acoustic with issues from storage too but one problem at a time. Thanks all

You might try putting it in the oven in between two pieces of heavy glass. Some people fix warped vinyl records this way. You’d want to get the temperature right though!

Pick guards are pretty cheap if it doesn’t work out…

Ah great idea! I was wondering how to heat and flatten at the same time. If it doesn’t work I’ll get a new one but I don’t like throwing things away unless I have to. Thanks!
