I just found one on amazon, but I’m sure local dealers are around as well. Peli 1400.

Hey y’all,
Since I hadn’t seen it mentioned here, this is what the Pelican 1450 looks like with a few doodads in it.
I feel like I could probably organize this in a smarter way to fit a little more in there, but this is great.
Could definitely find a way to fit an op-1 in here on top of the arc, norns, grid, 16n, and m8 - especially if I didn’t use the m8 zip case.

Peli 1400, inspired by @dailyrituals.
16n at the bottom, grid, then keyboard.
No room for the shield, but eyeing a stock norns once it becomes available again, which should just fit below the keyboard according to specs.
Might widen the top space to its maximum as well, but will look at this as needed.
Also using a Tech Pouch for shield + cables + eventual other small format music gear.

I just picked this up today:
Going on a trip tomorrow, and what I’ve got fitting very comfortably and securely in it is a factory norns, grid, arc, op-1, sp-404 mk2, tx-6, faderfox uc4, my laptop, power supplies/audio/usb cables, etc.
It’s very configurable with velcro partitions. While not as secure as a Pelican case, obv, it’ll be with me the whole time so I’m not too worried about that.

Finally found a decent field bag from BUBM that manages to fit all of my outdoor music kit:
- norns shield
- NTS-1
- zoom H4n (although will probably replace it for something thinner)
- powerbank
- a little passive mixer
- myvolts pots&pans and spliters
- PO33
- a small headphone amp
- all sorts of cables, headphones and accessories
(minus the OP-1, which is in a separate bag)
I’m pretty happy with the outcome, since it can still fit in my backpack

Wow, that looks amazingly practical
Is it the medium or large version?

It’s a large version, but if you’re packing less gear medium should probably be a better option

Question on the 1400 case, can grids and norns be placed side by side?

On a whim I picked up a couple of ammo boxes from a local Princess Auto.
My plan is to use the smaller ammo box for cords and any additional peripherals, and use the larger tan box for the norns, grid, and related cords.
Interestingly the grid just fits in the .50 ammo box but with not much wiggle room, but with the right level of foam it could be used for the norns and grid for travel that isn’t long distance.
Now to research foam cutting!

Out of curiosity, does a grid fit in the tech pouch? Considering grabbing one myself

Grid is too wide, unfortunately.
It fits very well for my Pluto, which could give an indication of size.
Hoping for a better solution but in the meantime this Behringer mic case is working out ok. I ordered a pelican 1040 and found out it was slightly too small. Glued some extra foam on the shorter sides of this case and made it fit decent.
Hopefully the slightly crooked Analog Cases sticker doesn’t make you cringe too bad.

Thanks to this thread, I picked up a Pelican 1400. I didn’t consult the pictures other folks posted and thought I was doing mine the same way as one I remembered, but scrolling up, my format is different. I actually think it’s pretty awesome they can be configured differently. Also, I think I have enough space above the norns that I could thin down the foam the grid sits on and squeeze in a 16n. Maybe… I may have to remove the e
Here are pics of my configuration. Just have to dig out a nook in the bottom layer for my PS.
Gratuitous (obligatory?) sticker share:

Anyone have thoughts or experience with solutions for arc in a backpack? I find I’m not taking it out because I’m apprehensive about damage (whereas I’m somehow way less concerned about my plasticky nanoKontrol2 or my interface). I can imagine a simple homemade cloth case, but I still worry about the encoders taking a hit / torque. I can also imagine making a wooden box, but that would substantially increase the size and weight of the ordeal. Does anyone else carry an arc in a backpack? How?
