Pardon my ignorance if something similar like this has been posted before, but doesn’t seem like I’ve found the answer. I’m curious to see if anyone else uses the Grid in different applications other than the Norns? Whether you use it as a midi controller for an Elektron device or what, I’m looking to expand the power of the grid!

I use it as a controller with Max/MSP for a number of things - mostly things that need several sets of x/y axis inputs at once, splitting the grid into 2 or 3 different smaller grids

Interesting, thank you for the reply. I’m relatively knew to using another device as a midi controller, hence my curiosity on what the full potential of the grid is.

the grid just connects to a computer, and from there the uses are limitless – bounded pretty much just by what you think you need to do with an array of leds and buttons.

for me, i’ve used it with computer applications (markeats sampler, MLR, max/msp, PD, etc) to make sound, but it is also great as a control plane for driving animations in Processing or openframeworks, for example. you could also just code up something to use the button presses to like, do whatever – just having a bunch of buttons to manipulate data on a computer is very useful.

(also, of course, you can use it with ansible or teletype on the modular)
