Hi,
I saw videos about the µScale, and it looks like a cool module, pretty melodies coming out and everything, but I just can’t understand how it basically works.
I would like to build a Max/PD version of it, so if someone can explain the basic principles of it, that would be great.

Basically, what it does is take any incoming voltage and round it to the closest voltage in a 1-volt-per-octave scale equal to the selected notes.

For a version of this in Max that rounds numbers to MIDI notes in a scale check the “Scaler” patch in the examples. Or check the BEAP Quantizer module if you want to stay within 1v/o.

Okay, so I guess all the knobs are “tuning” the output that’s it ?

There is no knobs.
Only buttons, displaying a keyboard and setting which notes can be outputted.
