How to update modular firmware (Basics)

Hi All,

I have never updated firmware before and need some step-by-step guidance for updating the White Whale. I’m totally green when it comes to this sort of thing. I’ll be updating on a mac. If there’s a helpful post/video about this already, I apologize for not seeing it.
