Yes, it’s the solstice.

finished songs get to be sent to you again, Jason?

Yes, same as before.

Oh, one caveat. WeTransfer links only last a few days. So if you finish early and want to send me a WeTransfer link, please make sure I acknowledge successfully downloading the file, otherwise it’s possible I’ll miss the window and have to ask you to re-upload.

If folks can hold on to their own tracks until just before the deadline, that ends up being easier for me.

Would love to participate in this as well! My current idea is to build a piece completely with my Cocoquantus, processing snippets of forgotten/discarded recordings from my archive.

I’m in with a PO-24 Office track.

Are we talking around June 21st?

I’d be in for this. It would be a great opportunity to learn my new Perfourmer better.

I’m in - I just need to think of a suitable constraint.

I’ve been wanting to participate in the musical side of this community for a long time, but the Juntos are too quick for me and I feel weird just posting my music. I love the prompt for this one and the restrictions as well, so I’m totally in. Thanks for organizing, Jason!

In with most probably a pocket operator arcade track.

Don’t know if i’ll participate but absolutely love the theme! Really excited to see what comes of this. I may do something yet, given that there’s time… As I never multitrack nor make loops (usually just everything live), I should probably set both as goals, if only to see what it’s like.

Going to try to fit it in. Could be a good chance to re-learn metasynth with the new version. Maybe only the spectrum synth bit as the constraint.

I like this idea very much. Brainstorming an approach. What is most attractive to me is the comment that a solstice is both a minimum and a maximum, which, if you think globally, both occur at the same time (sun’s highest zenith in one hemisphere necessarily means its lowest in the opposite). This makes me think about how one might express both minimum and maximum in a single piece.

I’m in, most likely using a Sonic Couture sample library.

I have edited the post.

Sounds great!
Love the simultanious min/max idea. For me it has a more religious pagan significance. I’m in for this one and looking forward to it.
