Feature performance by Chris LiButti and Ivan Khilko with dark ambient improv and noise. Opening waveforms will be rendered by local modular synthesists Midwest Telecom and romjay. $5 cover, all ages show; beer, wine, soda, and snacks available for purchase.

Man, it’s great to know some stuff is happening up there. I have only played twice in Indy solo. Once at the Joyful Noise offices for a Friday art hop. Another time at a little festival organized by Michael Kauffman. Good times!

Are things happening regularly up there? I’d love to get up and play occasionally since I’m so close. A friend teaches a music tech class at IUPUI and I think he’s there Thursday nights so I’ll send him the link :slight_smile:

Thanks for sharing! It’s my debut gig as romjay so I’m pretty psyched.

I know Bloomington has a semi-regular (every 6 weeks-ish) Open Tweak event, currently hosted at the Blockhouse Bar. I don’t know where else all the other electronic weirdos do their bloopin’. I’m very new to the scene though so if anyone has hints on other local events, let me know!

Well, my friend Chris who teaches up there is now aware. Michael Kauffman was involved in Asthmatic Kitty, more of an indie label, but I think he’s sort of pulled back from doing stuff. Joyful Noise guys are great, but also more indie/rock zones. I’m pretty clueless on the more electronic side of the city.

Sorry to say I can’t make it up tonight, but I’m in Bloomington and would love to stay in the loop on area shows and events like this! Especially those involving members of the monome community…
