I believe the digitank is available now. For the headphones there’s a few adjustments to be done.

The Intellijel website says that the Tetrapad is available. Control lists them as incoming.

Any more news to share about them, especially Teletype-Tetrapad linkages?

Nothing on that front at the moment, working on some other projects for now. The I2C headers have the same pinout though, so once I get some time and a hold of a teletype I will be looking at connecting them up.

My plan is to present the tetrapad pads as 8 CV inputs to the TT, and the outputs as 8 additional CV outs.

Thanks for the info, you moved the Tetra from a maybe to a ‘preordering today’!

Just a quick note on the non-i2c Tetrapad.

I’ve been playing with it for an hour and a few things:

a) it feels very natural; intuitive; elegant even

b) some modes are a natural fit to this being wired to Teletype etc. and I’ll play with that over the next couple of weeks

c) fit and finish and so on are of course top-notch.

d) It externalizes controls in an intuitive way (I’ve not used any of the MakeNoise interfaces for more than seconds so this may just be a consequence of having a touch-control-surface in Eurorack).

I’ve got mine mounted front right, above teletype keyboard spot on desk, and after an hour it already feels like it has been there forever.

I’d be delighted to hear comments from others…

I also recently got a Tetrapad and am really liking it so far. It does feel good and there are so many possibilites.

For an expanders or Teletype application I would love to have some sort of loop recorder for notes that lets you still play with pressure and position while it loops.

If it was talking to Teletype and/or ER-301 via i2c, I would also definitely give the Tetrapad a go.

The task, should you choose to accept it:

Sure. The reason is: it’s effort. The list is long and the day is short.

besides all the i2c possible integrations, i’m also considering the option of pairing it with a TT… how do you use it, exactly? ever tried the eight switches mode to trigger TT scripts?

I don‘t own a TT, yet. But will soon  I only use the Tetrapad on it‘s own.

No, it hasn‘t, I believe.

ouch, sorry, didn’t get that from your post. thought you had one already

then maybe i could forward my question to @Random

any feedback on how the two work together without the yet to be implemented i2c connectivity?

To be honest I’ve not done much more than dabble. I teach a LOT in the winter term and modular play has gone to zero. Term ends this friday so suddenly playtime.

Is there something in particular you want to know?

i’d love to know if you can use the eight switches mode to trigger TT scripts.
whenever you have the time to fiddle with it.
thanks!

Here is a micro-update: I worked out a preliminary specification with @kisielk for the v1 implementation a month or so ago. I’m planning to whip up the TT code while I’m on some planes in the next few weeks.

I’m not sure on the tetrapad side of the implementation - there will clearly need to be some integration time to get it all happy and I’m sure @kisielk has a number of competing priorities. (I don’t think he has a Teletype yet.)

I do have a teletype now actually, haven’t really dug into that yet. My priority right now is to get the tetrapad expander ready for Superbooth, which will also include doing the i2c portion of the tetrapad and then hopefully make the teletype integration relatively painless

Really excited to see the expander! Any hints on the hp? As if I need to spend more time on Modulargrid…ha

Are there many Tetrapad players here? I’ve got one arriving next week (Australian customs permitting ) I’m interested to hear what people are using it for most. I’m mainly looking as the 8part patch memory, voltage storage and perhaps some percussive stuff.

This is amazing, I’ll be rocking TT, Tetrapad, TXI, Ansible, ER-301 in a live case.
So any integration will be super cool
