No, it hasn‘t, I believe.

ouch, sorry, didn’t get that from your post. thought you had one already

then maybe i could forward my question to @Random

any feedback on how the two work together without the yet to be implemented i2c connectivity?

To be honest I’ve not done much more than dabble. I teach a LOT in the winter term and modular play has gone to zero. Term ends this friday so suddenly playtime.

Is there something in particular you want to know?

i’d love to know if you can use the eight switches mode to trigger TT scripts.
whenever you have the time to fiddle with it.
thanks!

Here is a micro-update: I worked out a preliminary specification with @kisielk for the v1 implementation a month or so ago. I’m planning to whip up the TT code while I’m on some planes in the next few weeks.

I’m not sure on the tetrapad side of the implementation - there will clearly need to be some integration time to get it all happy and I’m sure @kisielk has a number of competing priorities. (I don’t think he has a Teletype yet.)

I do have a teletype now actually, haven’t really dug into that yet. My priority right now is to get the tetrapad expander ready for Superbooth, which will also include doing the i2c portion of the tetrapad and then hopefully make the teletype integration relatively painless

Really excited to see the expander! Any hints on the hp? As if I need to spend more time on Modulargrid…ha

Are there many Tetrapad players here? I’ve got one arriving next week (Australian customs permitting ) I’m interested to hear what people are using it for most. I’m mainly looking as the 8part patch memory, voltage storage and perhaps some percussive stuff.

This is amazing, I’ll be rocking TT, Tetrapad, TXI, Ansible, ER-301 in a live case.
So any integration will be super cool

@kisielk I just bought a Planar 2. Do you think there might be plans to have i2c communication with teletype?

It would certainly be possible. I am hoping to do the same for Tetrapad as well. I was hoping it would be done earlier in the year but other developments took place and we’re still nailing down the I2C API for the Tetrapad, so the Teletype implementation hasn’t happened yet.

For Planar 2 the module is a lot simpler (you don’t have a whole ton of LEDs to deal with in addition to sensors etc) so it would actually be a lot easier to implement an I2C interface for it. The header on the back is for this purpose…

Fantastic and congratulations on this fine module.

@kiseilk curious if there’s been any progress on the tetrapad expander? or plans for 2019. thanks!

It will be revealed at Synthplex

20 characters of yes!!!

Here’s a demo that Perfect Circuit audio filmed at the show: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9dHn6niPXWA&t=0s

It was great to have @bpcmusic come by and finally meet in person too!

So great to meet you in person!! Really enjoyed our chat.

It was nice to see the awesome new expander in person and get a demo. It really opens up the already powerful Tetrapad and is clearly a strong-buy for anyone with one. The new cases are great too.

Cheers!!

Going way back here… wish that Chris hadn’t decided that eurorack hardware was too much of a headache, that sampler was a cool prototype and his interface designs are ace.

That was the Enso module prototype right? Yes, I too wish that had made it to production.

I was wondering if @kisielk could let us know if the Tete module will be able to control 2 Tetrapads? 48 HP of control would cover almost all my needs.
