Continuing with my explorations of the Nersdseq. This time exploring the automators:

Orca sequencing 0-Coast and Rozzbox, with tape echo for both from Klemt Echolette, and “found beats” sampled from NASA’s Voyager Golden Record, programmed in Ableton. Seeing if this embed works…:

Today I had my Microbrute jam on the theme from Tangerine Dreams - Love on a real train. All sounds from the Microbrute. I used the built-in-step sequencer. But the chords I sent (note-by-note/monophonic) from Live for simplicity. Pretty happy with how it turned out.
Gear used: Microbrute, Diamond Memory Lane 2, Boss CE-2, Strymon Flint, EHX Small Stone.

Thanks! I guess this is sort of my mental state in a Covid-19 lockdown, relaxed yet tense

Day 6
Today I’ve been tinkering with the Korg Volca Beats and Volca Bass. I’ve connected them to the Bastl Dude to combine them and sent the output via the Korg NTS-1 into my Zoom H5
In Audacity I’ve copied the track and applied distortion to it. Followed it up with some phaser and wahwah. This is then added to the mix sometime after it started and fades earlier than the rest.
Added a sample from the footage I’ve used (multiple times). Twice as original sample and twich as a ‘paulstretched’ texture. In the end I’m quite happy with this sketch and perhaps it can serve as starting point for more in the future. Who knows?

Today was my “attempt at DnB” day
All the sounds are coming from OP-Z with reverb/compression/vhs from DAW
voronoi(100, 2).modulateScale(osc(0.1, 0.2, 0.4),-0.03).kaleid(4).out(o1)
osc(3, 0.2, 0.4).modulateScale(noise(8, 0.2)).out(o2)
src(o2).sub(o1, 0.05).out(o3)

I’ve been doing them every day… but not posting them here, since you all don’t need to see my every jam.
However, I think this very emotional response to today’s events is worth sharing:
You can find my other Jamuary jams in the playlist that’s part of.

been enjoying seeing you work with that ring thing! are you using the dice as a starting point for your jamuaries somehow or are they just desk detritus?

Nice! I can imagine this pairs well with a chase scene in some kind of action movie.

I like the combination of the grittiness with FM like plings(?) and the soothing pads. Nice one!

Day 7
I started jamming with Yamaha’s Reface CP and recorded several takes of this melody but I wasn’t happy with it. Instead of using the melody I took pieces of the recordings and combined them into Audacity and created something completely different.

two sketches using samples (from glia’s sample pack) played on arcologies (by tyler etters) on norns. 2nd one also uses some samples played back from the modular — I believe they’re from hainbach, but thoroughly mangled here by grandpa phonogene and three sisters.
I won’t keep tagging y’all @glia & @tyleretters going forward lol, because I reckon I’ll do a lot of the rest of the month using your samples (glia) on your app (tyler) but, I divided the whole sample pack (without any forethought) into folders of 6 and building little arcologies around them and it’s amazing what you can do with 6 random samples and some triggers… thank you both
