Once again, my problem with patches like this is that I spend 2 hours getting it 10% better than the first 30 minutes. Oh well! It’s fun, and almost certainly terrible in mono.

Missed yesterday because sometimes life gets busy, but had a great time jamming out with this techno bassline this morning. All of this is very new to me, and this track certainly shows that - building tension in a smooth way is hard, transitions are hard, sound shaping on the fly is hard, mixing well is hard etc etc. But, I had a great time bopping to this, and I’m pretty happy with the rough ideas on display.

Very happy with todays result. 120bpm vs 150bpm (10:8), but everything heavily sidechained to the kick to glue. Should probably compose something, multitrack record and clean up the mix? Also let me know if it doesn’t play, trying out this new OPUS coded instead of MP3, so I can upload a bit longer snippets (going with the 4mb forum limit).

edit: It seems that OPUS is not supported on Safari, here’s a low-fi mp3 instead
