oh interesting! Thanks for sharing the error. I don’t think I’ve ever tried to upload this before; I’ve just run it with a computer connected (to update the note sequence in druid). I’m at work right now, but I’ll take a crack at it when I get home. Out of curiosity, do you have both just friends and w/ connected over i2c, or just one, or neither? It seems to be stumbling over the just friends play_note command
Hi! Thanks for answering so quick. I’ve got both JF and 2x W/ (with one Wsyn) connected over i2c and they work fine with Norns scripts that I wrote.
Running does the same for me! It looks to me like something is going wrong with sequins. I am on a very new Macbook so I will run som tests.
that does seem very plausible! Is crow up to date? Do other sequins-based scripts work? Let me know if you keep running into trouble with it. Happy to help however I can
I think crow is updated? will check.
Krahenlied works perfectly it seems… will continue investigating
So I am on firmware 3.0.0 instead of the 3.0.1 which is out there. Will update.
glad that fixed it! And thanks for making me aware of the issue — I’ve updated the documentation to reflect that firmware version 3.0.1 or higher is required
I modified this script to play in time with clock.tempo instead of clock.sleep, as well as introducing clock divisions per voice. These new scripts I’ve called “trio”, and are available [here.] This script has been super fun to take apart in order to learn sequins note nesting and clock divisions in Lua, so thank you @WilliamHazard for the inspiration and for providing an accessible entry point to scripting in Lua!
There are three scripts included in the git folder, all in different keys with different tempos.
