jiffy

16 second looper for Norns.

Short buffer length, inspired by the restrictions of pedals like the EHX 16 Second Delay. Built using Sam as a starting point, with the emphasis on being quick (and fun) to operate.

Roadmap includes:

Nice simple sampler script. Having fun with it. One tiny suggestion would be adding the ability to save the loop buffers

Just updated Jiffy to work in stereo (thanks for the advice @Justmat!).
Mono/stereo can be switched in params menu.

This just got added to norns.community (thanks @eigen !)
I’d completely forgotten about the script, so 2 years later I frantically just pushed an update so the GUI is more readable and the dials positions make more sense

no worries, I’ve not looked at teh script in months. But there are a couple of other places you’d need to change the end time too… Basically anywhere you see loop_end will def need updating

Hey there, I’m experiencing a weird bug, where when I load Jiffy while another script is running, my input is muted. This way I can’t hear my input directly, if I record it though, I can hear it being played back by the looper. Thanks in advance

Hey, have you checked your mixer settings, sounds like your input monitoring may be turned down…
(I cant reproduce this here when loading jiffy while another script is running)

They almost certainly always were/are at at least standard level when this happened.
Sounds like it’s a weird device-specific bug then I guess.

thank you for Jiffy! it’s one of the few looping scripts that seems to work smoothly and adds no discernible delay when looping rhythmic material. it’s awesome!

a feature request: could you please make at least record and clear map-able? start and stop and speed would would be amazing too…
