Answering my own questions here.

The answer is YES. A zero interval on any row would make that stage of the scale redundant, the same as the row below it. Figuring this stuff out in real time is great, the scale editor UI is super simple.
Can scales reach beyond their octave? ie. 6 intervals adding to more than 12 semitones…
YES. The only limits seem to be the scale cannot have more than 7 notes and the max interval between notes is 7 semitones, so if you wanted you could make a cycle of 5ths scale…

The scale editor accommodates large enough intervals to open the scales up for (what I find to be) more immediately musical sequences with an exponentially more fun octave page. Try thirteenth chords:

1 3 5 7 9 11 13
1 3 5 b7 9 #11 13
1 b3 b5 7 9 11 13
1 3 #5 b7 9 #11 15
1 b3 5 7 9 11 13
1 3 #5 7 9 11 13
1 b3 5 6 9 11 14

bumping to see if there’s any progress on adding external clock input. no worries if not, just excited.

m4l Beatseeker is working great to get Kria’s clock into my computer for now.

thanks for the tip, will check it out.

Looks WAY better than beatseeker for the task at hand.

I wonder if this will still come. I know there is more to work on and develop but It would be so useful for integrating Kria in the whole mudular and to the computer. Even if it goes over teletype sync since Kria as the main clock source for everything is not a practical option for me. Apart from that it is still my favorite sequencer and I would love to use it more…

i am waiting here too! o/

Is the max version still scheduled or has it been cancelled or postponed for more urgent works? Would love to know because Kria looks fantastic…

and just to add one more angle, i’m secretly wishing for a kria app in ansible.

Could any who’s been using this give some clock clarification – does it not sync at all, or does it sync like normal, but if you use clock divisions, they will drift?

no sync at all, at least as far as i could gather using walk as a clock source

Neither nor, respectively both.

While it mirrors the incoming clock at the clock output it does not sync at all. It’s a bit confusing at first when you don’t know what’s going on. :grinning:

there is a chance that a completed kria is one of the ansible grid apps… and a maxmsp port of kria is on my list…

+10 for external clock. sorry to keep bumping. if this isn’t a possibility, just let us down gently!

awesome rumor @tehn – now we can start asking for arc/ansible videos every other day instead of clock support! haha

Kria became my favorite seq so far… Super inspiring, need to upload a video of my Kria - Easel combo

Given that White Whale is out of stock, I’m pretty stoked to hear both of these things.

So there won’t be a clock input on the actual Kria while it is on the WW?

Who said that? From Then words I understood that Kria is still under development. Tehn should be super busy between Ansible and a whole lot other things, so I guess It’ll take a while, but for what I understood once the firmware is finished it’ll be ported to Max and maybe to Ansible. Or maybe that’s what I want to understand…
