I think you’re being rather harsh on yourself - this is a killer set and you are a lovely human being for being so gracious.

I couldn’t stop listening to Telefon Tel Aviv’s new track, so I decided to to remix it.

inspired by those who relish in being lost and wandering whilst making the most of it; The Stray is the latest piece in the DERIVE Soundscapes series.

Feeling generous!
Here are five codes for the digital version of my new tape…

It was released via Cloudchamber Recordings in July.
(This release started by a chance conversation in the FIeld Recording thread on Lines last summer and developed from there, I had mentioned that I had made some field recordings in car pacrk, before and after work, as a ten minute exercise to cope with stress whilst sitting in my car before and after work… It was a process of ‘field recording as mindfulness’…
Then I developed these into tracks, adding music to field recordings… and then I sent them to @prms who was discussing with on the field recording thread and now they’ve seen the light of day… )

New music - experimenting with what might be reblai rhythms - but certainly non-periodic rhythms

Bare Feet on Dark Soil ahead of the Storm

This is the final track of my new album ‘Lure’. Digitakt & Digitone are providing the melodies, the modular system bass & glitter - and Coco adds its wonderful weirdness.

I just put this on Bandcamp

Computer music textures, primarily mangling older recordings.

Having been on a bit of a fixing spree recently, I just threw this EP together. Using restrictions as a fundamental part of the compositional process. All are made with a Doepfer Dark Energy II into a Yamaha FX500 (except the remix track; that’s also got a Roland CR8000 into the FX500

I’m pretty pleased with how it’s come out.

File under: drones/pulses/noise

This was relaxing earlier today… really nice latticework. the sound palette reminds me a bit of Dystonia Duos, by Joe Panzner and Greg Stuart. some of the fine, glassy timbres going on…it’s calming, though. track 3 is lovely

Here’s a new one, enjoy!

Thank you. I’ll give Dystonia Duos a listen, I’m usually very interested if Greg Stuart is involved. I really like his work with Michael Pisaro.
I really like the textures made possible by mangling glass or porcelain objects. One of the samples being mangled in track 2 is a DC motor spinning a little metal chain hitting a small porcelain coffee cup. Such a nice colour.
And I’m really happy how track 3 turned out. It’s only a mangling of a single sample of me trying to put a lamp switch in an inbetween position to make the lamp flicker back and forth between its states, giving this clicking noise. When pitching it up I discovered this glassy tone, like the sustain from a piano note, in the background. So I just built it around that.

I have a new album coming out on Unknown Tone Records (https://unknowntonerecords.bandcamp.com/) next week. Pre-orders are now live. It features two side-long tracks that were built around 5-second tape loops. I used eurorack modular, OP-1, DIY cassette loops, effects pedals, and soft synths to create the music/sounds on the album. Digital only for now (with plans for a small tape run later this fall). Thanks!

Some Doepfer/Serge ultra-minimalism I’ve been working on for the last year or so.

My most recent finished track - some dark Legowelty beats. Percussion and drums are coming from the OP-Z, and synths are looped recordings of me playing the Nord Lead 2. Everything was arranged and processed in Ableton.
