all of this is live from loop test tones (far from properly mixed etc).

That’s a cool option too! It’s too bad Vestax went bankrupt, they had some really innovative thinking!
Really cool work. Thanks for the info. Never realized any turntables were controllable In that way.
Here is the last thing I posted online, nearly two weeks ago… Its a sort of tribute to the writer W.G Sebald… I am not posting much online at the moment as I am working on a film soundtrack but hope to post something new soon… Have a listen and comment

A rough ‘n’ ready mix of room and desk recordings from my opening set at Aural Ataraxia’s Electronic Madness night at Akusmata Gallery in Helsinki. Thanks to Kenneth Kovasin for organising and Wellenform and bin.exe for performing.
P.S. There wasn’t much madness going on in my set by the way…

went through some recordings and found a few modular bits from my first days with White Whale. found the intro in that pile and laid a bassline under it (been very fun playing bass with these in-the-box projects), pulled both into re:mix. sampled @glia’s supreme v_z to glue it all together.
new SOUND + PROCESS on the way, as well!
I’m building a live set these days, here’s an extract from a training session …
'stars, earth, we all return
I recently did a (for me) fairly rare live set. It was the first time I used a monome in performance, and it worked out pretty well. The last track, however, was just programmed to play itself-- it’s a tribute to/story about my father, who died earlier this year, and a nice piece of Max Programming-- I’ve learned quite a bit about Max this year, thanks to a desire to actually use the monome; I’d like to think my father would have liked a song that was also a program triggered by a nicely machined piece of hardware:
my first recording with ansible + arc and mannequins mangrove. ambient improvisation for piano, modular, and birds. as autumn approaches here in california, warm winds rush through honeyed leaves; costa’s hummingbirds and northern mockingbirds sing from their cactus perches.
Alt take of the same set as the previous video …

Note that the title is a nod to the film https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/La_Classe_américaine … “wish lauren” just sounds like the french “ouiche lorraine” which is actually a quiche but Dustin knows best … https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SBW7FohL65I
sick stuff. thanks for sharing

here’s my most recent one. It steals content from FM radio as a starting thread/kernel
album is done and just finished writing brief liners
this interlude should give yall a taste
This is on the visual side, but I used a 128 and Arc2 to control live visuals for Nosaj Thing last week. Here’s a video of it: https://twitter.com/jonobr1/status/783650447345217536
But we actually released the application for anyone to run: https://lesi.wearecollins.com/ (unfortunately the monome compatibility isn’t available on the site)
absolutely gorgeous, would love to see more about the monome implementation. and i love nosaj thing.
Thanks! We took the audio output from Nosaj Thing and are using that to trigger when objects are placed in the space. As far as Monome implementation, everything that you can do in the website we encoded into the grid and arc. The grid also had additional features (there are around 200 image assets) to add specific imagery if we needed some extra pep.
Got the HC-TT:
this is my newest release on bandcamp. used to be a duo, now it is only me. imo perfect october band so this is my favorite time of year to focus on this project. a bummer to not be working with another soul on the music but i love the band even if it is only me…
