these were late nite orca explorations while taking a break from firmware hacking that would likely stay as unfinished recordings were it not for the rpm challenge (make an album during the month of february), which forced me to make a small album out of them - i forgot how much fun it is to try and fit different tracks together, the synergy that comes out of that.

hopefully a good sample of what orca can do too - every sequence here was written with orca’s help.

As it seemed to be a bit of a hit on SoundCloud (mainly thanks to the wonderful Marc Weidenbaum at Disquiet), I thought I would stick the WAV up on Bandcamp for a nominal fee…

The “B-side” is a track called “Syksyinen Sähkö (ote)”, made using the same set-up as “Sketch…”, but with the guitar tuned to Keith Richards’ favourite, open G…

From a recent performance at a(n AMAZING) festival in Norway.

From the video description:
The performance consists of a modified Sony D2 Discman sitting on top of the snare drum playing a CD-R filled with improvisations using the same drums/objects used in the live performance. These were recorded in the same physical space in order to create a glitching temporal experience where the now/past/live/recorded blur together.

Improv jam session type thing from a few days ago. I’m (over) playing bass. Nice to get away from the laptop and make music with people sometimes.
