https://caelmore.bandcamp.com/album/sirensong-version

A version of a loose cover of Tim Buckley’s “Song to the Siren,” recorded in my bedroom on 15 March 2019 in an attempt to distract myself from stress in other parts of my life.

The 71-minute runtime is the result patching the modular synthesizer and programming it in such a way that it self-plays through the 64 states saved within the sequencer’s memory. A “final” version of this composition will be realized and recorded at a later date.

Please note: due to the size of the original recording file, I was required by Bandcamp’s upload limits to chop the file into two smaller files. This is not my preferred means of exhibiting the track but it is my only option until Bandcamp increases its max file sizer per track.

Teaser for a new visual album I’m working on focusing on ambient slash minimalistic composure slash meditation slash polyrhythms slash going off the grid.

this reminds me of a very colorful version of some of the windows media player visualizers I played around with as a kid.

So long since I’ve recorded anything, so I hit record. Single take, with some samples, some effects, and riding a 16n/Push live. Feels like me again.

Not a track but a little snippet I was happy with and decided to throw up. One of these days I’ll actually record things.

Happy to share the first of many tracks I’ve been working on for my new project Leash. This one is entitled ‘Ashed Out’. Fair warning, it’s a little more in-your-face than the typical content here.

The main beat/bass seq is a one-shot take of my Drumbrute Impact run through a Boss bass synth pedal and an overdrive pedal. The rest is a mix of my modular rack and my minilogue. Hope you enjoy <3

Made a new tune while getting to know the Elektron Analog Four MK2. I sampled some sounds/loops of the A4 with the Fostex four-track recorder and the Ciat Lonbarde Cocoquantus. And then routed both back into the A4 to add FX. The A4 is also opening & closing the Coco’s inputs via CV.

I’ve lumped the price hike joined the OP1 club. I borrowed my mates recently and I couldn’t think of any standalone synth that is as much fun as this thing ( the tape based approach).

The goal I’ve set myself with it is an ‘OP1 Album’ (Side A+Side B) every month following a theme using just the OP1 (with external sources allowed).

Here’s the first two (Side A/B:March). Ambient type tracks with OP1 synths, sampled guitar and voice:

aw thanks  Glad you like

I haven’t done much chip stuff in ages… check out d0us’ recent album on Quantum Native’s tho: https://soundcloud.com/quantum_natives/sets/d0us-voicestealer

little nervous about posting but I figured I should jump right in. Pretty new here, and have only had a modular rig for about a month now.

heres my first pass at taking a generative patch and imposing at least a little bit of linear song structure.

Patch notes in the video description.

Some early morning tape loops from a while ago. Just a questionably tuned piano and a tascam portastudio (mf-po1).
