I was fortunate enough to spend a week in the woods, and I took a “minimal” synth setup with me (Digitone, Peak, Zoia, OP-Z). I know the Lines community gets this intuitively, but it’s kind of paradoxical how perfectly nature pairs with synthesizers. I’m ready to go back!

A bit different from most of the stuff I post here, but the singer of my surf-punk band recently moved away for a job and we self-recorded and released some tapes for our ‘final’ show.

It’s kinda sloppy as we did it all ourselves with as few takes as possible, but I’m still really proud and happy that these recordings exist :blush:

The tones are from a sample of the emergency broadcast system tone that was used until 1997 in the US and the atmosphere is from blank tapes and the groaning of a freight train in my neighborhood.

Not sure this fits in here, since I’m primarily a video and performance artist. But I do my own sound design and have been getting into eurorack to help me do that (er-301, teletype, /W, and some utilities)

an older (summer 2013), collaborative track. a friend emailed a CD’s worth of raw, (some) tonal exercises, and I played along with the sounds, as I listened to each track on my mp3 player. here I played no-input Ibanez DM-1000 rackmount delay, while listening to The Edge-like ringing / delayed guitar part. Eurorack had not yet entered my mind as something applicable / possible


this is from Memorial Day 2019, on my birthday. it’s the first time i played my system in over a month, after having patched it in silence. it’s… trying, and w/o quantisation
