Pulled the SK-1 out for a little jam. I’m also starting to fall in love with the SQ-1!

I bump the pitch control of Clouds around the 4 minute mark, but overall I was still very happy with this take!

I’ve set myself the task of playing a set each day for a few weeks. Recording and videoing each one as part of practicing towards playing live. I know I said I wouldn’t share every session but I really liked this segment. I wasn’t expecting a lot from tonight - I’m tired after working all week and today has been kind of frustrating work wise (just code debugging nonsense). With not much left in the creative bank I made a patch in Audulus which is kind of stupid - 3 oscillators, random notes, S&H on the filter and a knob that controls the speed of the whole patch. It was interesting enough to start recording with and this is what came out! which I’m kind of pleased with - just goes to show…

I’ve released a new single today, called In The Leaves. It’s frantic and aggressive and loud. Even so, maybe some liners will appreciate it :joy:

It’s instagram, so… short af. I do plan on exploring this territory farther, so maybe a full length track will come of it. idk

The old cancelled on, despondent, Friday night recording session.

Latest Track - coming out on tape today at 6pm (8th June 2019)

I really love the sound of delay repeats looping through this Steiner-Parker filter. This time I had the feedback out of the Dub Jr multed to all 3 band inputs so I could play with the levels of the low, mid, and high bands and there are some moments in this where I caught some lovely sounding trails.

Love the strings in this. What did you use for them?

A tiny loop I love, made from Echophon’s Cartesian.

Thanks.
The main string sounds in this are a from Spitfire Audio Solo Strings collection
https://www.spitfireaudio.com/shop/a-z/spitfire-solo-strings/
And the middle deeper bit of the track is actually a real cello that someone I met online recorded for me… So a bit of synth-string and rea string!

Recorded the day after Drone Day 2019, essentially distilling the techniques practised 24 hours earlier into shorter (then more edited) form:

Had to throw something together this morning to make my weekly target of a miniature piece every Monday. Friend sent me the footage and originally his daughter was smiling and looking happy after the pan to the sky. Couldn’t be having anything uplifting or cheerful as that on a muggy monday morning so cut that and made it as creepy as I could.

That’s really nice. Really want to put it as a loop into Nebulae or Morphagene to play around with it
