Little bit of silliness with my new Dark Matter + Geiger Counter combo. This one is dedicated to those who have trouble getting vocal formants out of Three Sisters (slewed S&H into SPAN making the magic here).

this is the first recorded experiment with my new instrument called the Fibophon. It is a custom unit i built inside the er-301 sound computer by orthogonal devices.
it is a strange beast, an asynchronous 5x recorder and 5x player temporized and pitched according to the Fibonacci series first 5 cyphers. all the 5 players are also spatialized. controls are on buffer feedback and global tuning.
in this track i sort of “remixed\reinterpreted” the fisrt parts of Olivier Messiaen’s Quatuor pour la Fin du Temps.
i just used Fibophon , a lpf and a delay, all 301 alone:

This track is a product of an AUM session
Factory synth, Rozeta collider, Mozaic, iVCS3, FAC Maxima
Korg nanoKontrolStudio is configured to midi control parameters for the Factroy synth, Rozeta collider, and Mozaic (Probability Gate Sequencer)

And just today I realized that the Korg nanoKontrolStudio has 5 scenes
= scene 1 can be for traditional mixer controls
scene 2 can be for number of hadrons on Rozeta collider, or sliders for the Mozaic Probability Gate Sequencer, or filter cutoff for the Factory Synth, or the mix control for the IVCS3 Spring…

Really cool and a great use of mixed technologies+equipment!

Agreed - I absolutely love that approach (and the sound it yields)

Latest track, and the first thing I have done combining guitar and modular that I am happy with.

Performed live, with everything going into my new mixer (Mackie 1202), with the stereo out recorded into my Zoom.

OTO BAM applied liberally on everything because…well… it’s ace and I love it :heart:

Thank you for this !

Among other things, I like the rhythmic irregularity.

so glad you enjoyed it!

the rhythmic articulations are my favorite part too—inspired by many classical compositions for solo instruments.

[Epilepsy Warning]

I had the amazing opportunity to play a live ambient set at the Royal BC Museum as part of an after hours event where classic experimental short films were projected all over the exhibits this past March. Part of the event was a collaborative draw on film that was projected at the very end. Here is the film that was created with some music that I arranged for it.

Super happy with how it turned out so I had to share! I’m obsessed with this vintage draw on film aesthetic and really want to try my hand at it sometime. I also find it very much suits a lot of the sounds I’ve been making lately.

Here is a picture of the event itself from which some of the sounds were created. Hauled probably 75% of my studio out for it! Definitely one of my favourite venues I’ve ever had the opportunity to play.
