I’ve been listening to Andrea Taeggi a lot recently - and this track is my reimaging of that kind of music.

This patch is pretty simple - three sisters on the edge of self oscilattion, with center patched to span, being pinged a lot.

I’m really happy with how this turned out

I’ve dipped my toes into the iOS world for the first time, thanks to getting a MIDI and audio interface. I’m mainly interested in sequencing and weird/limiting/creative ways of sequencing. In that respect, Fugue Machine was an absolute gem to find. Here’s a track with Fugue Machine controlling a bunch of hardware synthesizers. Take a listen, if you’d like.

Here’s a new compositional approach (for me). Instead of meticulous editing and sample massage in Ableton, there are only two sound sources here: an ancient Wurlitzer 140, plus a sequenced Make Noise DPO. And there are two principal sound shapers: an Elektron Analog Heat, plus a Red Panda Tensor pedal. The sounds are layered and assembled in Ableton using a few of the stock devices, but without obsessive editing this time. Feedback welcome.

And a revision of a piece from last month, in a similar spirit - simplified now.

Another Sunday, another track from Lure. Modular (controlled and sequenced via Digitone and FH2), Digitakt, Digitone & Cocoquantus through OTO Bim & Bam, recorded in one take directly to tape. Hope you like it.

Here’s the first (very promising!) test using my crossfader snare stuff, where I apply some (barely learned and largely forgotten) turntable/crossfader techniques to my feedback snare setup:

I got everything sync’d up in my live rig (Norns doesn’t seem to like midi clocks in much - tried a couple - but something for another day - it all worked fine it being master)

A rhythmic kind of piece - and was trying to ‘borrow’ something of the aesthetic of 16 horsepower/wovenhand who I love (via less concepts in this piece)

pure rhythm done modular style.

first real workout with the er-101. two drums: verbos harmonic oscillator modulated by just friends, and a self-oscillating three sisters. i’m punching in and modifying sequences on the fly. striking done through optomix.

a foggy drone recorded live

plaits -> reseq is a mighty combo. dld, erbe, and oto bam handle soundscaping duties.

Here’s a video of my recent live performance, eurorack and Synthstrom Deluge.

I’m using the D for beats and pads (sampled from modular), and macro sequencing duties.
Eurorack provides several voices and other random bits including fx.

I had a great time. It was a good venue (Night and Day Cafe, Manchester) and the festival it was part of was really well organised and had a great vibe.

really enjoying your serge work

I love this ! thanks !

thanks a lot !
I am happy to hear this.

I’ve been quite preoccupied with the YouTube videos lately, but I do have 3 or 4 albums in the works at present - 2 of them are collaborative works, 1 is an “album proper” and the other is a beat tape. I’m not convinced the “album proper” will ever actually come to fruition in that format and I’ll probably end up making it more in a beat tape style.

This is something which was made for one of the collaborative pieces - it started life on Caustic on my Note 4 in January; the latest work on it has been done in Ableton.
