live performance. an ambient+drone improvisation for modular, effects, and field recordings from a winter vacation in the southwest. sparrows and crows stirring, icicles shattering, snowclumps falling from bushes, the trickle of tiny drops. little worlds thawing.
patch notes: monome+mannequins modules all around. a rhodes '73 improvisation, played from the radiomusic module, runs through mutable instruments clouds. clouds params are modulated with just friends envelopes and cold mac scratchy random noise. monophonic melodic swells are played with earthsea and grid, controlling mangrove through three sisters and the -isms spring reverb tank, then into strymon tape delay and reverb pedals. the winter sounds, originally captured with a zoom h5+SGH6 capsule mic, are played back with the cassette tape deck.
this is my final song for weekly beats 2016. last song of the year; fifty-two straight weeks of tracks.
