Hi,

I’m listening to your music for the first time, the Banda soundtrack. Really nice work!

Insides. A deep breath. A million thoughts. I recently contributed a longform ambient meditation to ‘Dance Yer Heart Out: A Fundraiser to Combat Racial Injustice’. I now uploaded the whole set to my youtube and bandcamp channels so you can watch it at your convenience and also download it for free. Hope you enjoy it. Thanks!

I’m now listening to the Modular Session: Borneo’s Dream!

What is the stringed instrument that comes in on track 2? It sounds a bit like the Sape that I was admiring the other day at Morphagene Patch & System Ideas

Is that played live and then processed or a sample?

Lovely stuff, I’m really enjoying this! I’m glad it’s on Apple Music too…

wow thank you! yes that’s right, it is Sape, an Indonesian string instrument from Borneo/Kalimantan island.

actually that’s my friend Rayhan who did the morphagene tutorial. he sounded beautiful.

the sape in my album was a sample that i prepared for the live performance.

i recorded the Sape in my studio, played by a traditional musician from Kalimantan, a few years back for a documentary film project.

Here is an ambient track I just finished. Guitar bit processed by morphagene (through zoom). dixie2+ as a drone, rings using ears, plaits as some filler through teac 244.

Hot off the hard drive. Formed from a piano jam I had been playing for a few days on the upright in the living room.

Piano + Plaits + Marbles + Clouds + etc.

Starts to heat up after about 90 seconds with some kick drum freaking by Marbles and probably too many layers of arpeggios.

here’s the teaser for my upcoming album, “Con Calma”, on Whitelabrecs which is coming out on Saturday. The album originated as multiple very long drone pieces I used to make for myself to listen to while at work or while travelling which I then decided to trim down and make into “songs”. Will definitely share more thorough notes about the process and idea behind the album in a dedicated post when it’s released.

Here’s a longer preview with snippets of all the tracks on the album

Hi! I have just joined lines and I’d like to share with you my new release, it’s called Recel. I used my eurorack mainly as an effects processor for some sounds, but also Clouds for some textures. Main work was made using Live.

I have some Brazilian roots and have been researching Brazilian music and culture for some years now. Lately I’ve been focusing on the Indians and I’ve discovered that they have a very happy musical style. I also had the opportunity to visit some communities. Unfortunately, our so-called progress is putting a lot of pressure on them and they are forced to abandon their lands or let go of their traditions. In my opinion this has to change.

I am part of a collective called Amatori. We are just a few friends who like to create and play music together in our free time. This is our second release and this time we decided to do a limited run of 50 cassettes.

Please feel free to share the music if you like it or show it to someone who might like it. You can also buy the cassette, download the digital version for free or name your price on our Bandcamp page;

I hope you like it!
