An ambient piece of music with the Digitakt only. Based on a piano improvisation that I recorded and then cut up and rearranged in the Digitakt itself.

Someone kindly bootlegged a chipnoise-centric Cementimental split tape from 10 years (how!?!) ago:

@rbxbx and I were preparing to perform for the most recent lines livestream, but then my music studio was occupied by folks evacuating from the wildfires.

But we had a couple hours of good material. @rbxbx was jamming in TidalCycles, while I riffed on the Linnstrument.

I took a few minutes of @rbxbx’s drums, layered in some field recordings, and then recorded a new melody using the PLCK Kontakt library for acoustic guitar, and added a smidge of Sandman Pro to the guitar and drums. Enjoy!

Beautiful. I love the way you use dynamics on this. Only halfway through that track and the album is in my cart.

Super new to the forum and this place is an oasis on the internet. It’s really cool to see so many beautiful artists making compelling and thoughtful work!
I am a multimedia artist and musician based out of Phoenix AZ.
I’m drawn to sounds and visuals that are hypnagogic (at least to me).

Fantastic stuff. There’s something so appealing to me about simple patches than make incredibly complex sounds.

Btw after listening a bit more I was wondering about how you created it. Would you be willing to share a bit about your process? I’m currently looking into starting with either Csound, Supercollider or Pure-Data.

I made ambient experimental tracks with this DIY cassette tape loops as only sound source and based on live recording. You can listen it on :

My entry for Flip The Sample #01 run by 2730 Demoteket and Herlev library. Of course I took the teeny tiny bleep that separates the actual samples as my material, and then arrange and process with OP-Z and ORCΛ. Totally inspired by listening to the Composing with Process from MACBA, which was recommended here on lines. :green_circle::large_blue_circle::yellow_circle::red_circle:
