Two simple ambient recordings with similar sounds. This one is dynamic and structured:

This one doesn’t change that much and its structure is more random:

Recorded while jamming yesterday and the day before.

I have been exploring two Spitfire Audio libraries. The felted piano here is from Olafur Arnalds / Composer Toolkit - almost unbearably subtle. Doubled pads are also from Composer Toolkit. The quivering cello tones are from London Contemporary Orchestra Strings.

Been having tons of fun batch generating samples in csound, here played back and mangled by the mighty er301. Sequenced from teletype…

hello all, my good friend gianni andreatta and i just released some new recordings.

here is a statement about the release:
on the afternoon of 12/9/2019, we made recordings on the floor in the living room. through stumbling forward, making and reversing segments we found —

our arms: almost motionless

our bodies: facing our machines squarely, handspan away

our hands: bounce very slightly

and finally our effort: sustained, purposeful, sincere

these three tracks may be about all sorts of things: surprises, phrases, toy keyboards, woodpeckers, coffee, margins, thresholds, and pulleys.

give it a listen if you would like: https://giannidandreatta.bandcamp.com/album/i-went-over-and-over-it-our-thoughts-went-round-and-round

It’s been a number of years since I really shared any sounds… so in an attempt to fix that I set up a new BC site (fresh start and all that), and committed myself to publishing something on there each month through 2020. Here is January. A short EP, all tracks pieced together from norns tape recordings accumulated over the past few months. Thanks to all the lines people who put so much time and effort into crafting tools for the community, they’re all over this.

I love looking through this thread and seeing all the great gear that people are using, and how they get unique sounds out of it.

Here’s my own latest contribution, a live hardware piece that takes advantage of the OP-Z’s sequencer and has the Octatrack tie the room together. I’m pretty pleased with it.

Track 4 from my #52weeksofsound project; aiming to keep the same ‘orchestra’ for as long as I can… once more I have many takes of this but, unlike track 3, I just chose one — the first:

Track 5 will be a stylistic diversion i think!

Really appreciate this. Thanks for sharing !
The more I listen to nice tracks made with the Music Easel, the more I like its particular sound.

Thanks for taking the time to listen

Yeah, it really is a wonderful instrument. “Particular” is a great choice of word too because it really does have a sound and I think it’s hard for it to get away from itself when it comes to that sound!

Very nice, is this going to be on the streaming platforms (Apple Music specifically)?
