I think I don’t know what’s going on. An ever-evolving 11/8 time signature mixed with a regular 4/4 one.

Maybe.

Anyway, hope you like it.

Got a loop going with Kria and the modular, and just started noodling with guitar over it. Eventually I had enough where I thought it could turn I to a kind of post rock type project. So here’s the first track off what will become an album (when I get the time to finish all the tracks in between new baby time). Hope you enjoy! This was a lot of fun to create.

Gear details:

Modular: arp: Soundforce DCO → Instruo I-o47 → Magneto → Ableton w/ Valhalla Shimmer
bass: Loquelic → WMD C4BON with copious amounts of modulation from Pam’s

Guitar: Fender Jaguar → Ableton. Working on rebuilding my effects setup to be more out of the box, but surprised how good the Ableton Amp sim is.

The lighting is amazing. Was that part of the venue or did you bring someone with you to design it as part of your performance? Loved the balance between the synths and the cello  Must have sounded huge on location

Thanks a lot! Yeah the lighting was specially designed by my friend Nick Verstand.

For those into IDM: played a live set last Friday with Digitone and Analog Rytm.

Still don’t know which time signatures I’m mixing

This past Monday I played a live streamed solo concert from the concert hall here in Malmö, Sweden. I reposted it on my channel and thought I’d share it here. It’s a sort of presentation of concepts I’ve been working on this year, electric guitar and eurorack interaction.
Would be lovely if any of you found some time and gave it a listen

Video has just emerged of my raw and absurd minumal-setup set at Guantanamo Noise Festival 2, in Limerick June 2009. Was one of the greatest noise events I’ve played, super lo-fi weekend of noise, a whole bunch of cool noise peoples packed into a vacant house instead of a venue ^__^.

New album release. Dark “ambient”/drone, Eurorack + Medusa + Microfreak + Bitwig.

I’m really enjoying this process of recording improv sessions of typically 5-10 minutes, using the end of one to guide the beginning of the next, and stitching them together into continuous mixes. If “ambient” music tends to focus on a sense of place, I feel like this style lends itself to the theme of travel through multiple places.

Patch notes are here.
