Hi friends - I released a song on spotify.

funny bit of theory in this - there’s actually no repetition in the form except for two chords at the end.

Thanks Jay!
Agree on effects. I feel the main melody is a bit harsh and dry. Will invest more time in it for future videos.

BTW I absolutely love your videos, especially the Matriarch + DrumBrute one. Felt like an epic journey. Every chord change felt like it bumped up the stakes and made it even more epic.

These tracks made with modular synth, use only one module : Mutable Instruments Plaits as sound source in VCV Rack. For create bassline, kick, hi hat, snare and synth textures in generative rhythm.

Nice work. I like your nature videos, they add very well to enjoy the whole video.

I’ve been making some short videos of patch studies on my small Doepfer synth:

Re-edit/interpretation of Javanese folk music and add some modular synth sounds from Pure Data with Automatonism patch.

Used poly fm module with pelog and salendro scale for keep in tone with Javanese music instruments like gamelan, and create experimental noise sounds as textures/accent with basic waveform like squarewave.

Approach with concept of past, present, and future. Between of world music, experimental sound, noise, and unidentified sonic.

little improv of piano and cranes

This sketch is the birth of a song that eventually became something very different after it’s been shared with my band mates.
Here’s me on acoustic guitar, vocals and tape manipulation on a Tascam 246 4-track cassette recorder:

Thanks a lot for listening/watching. Very happy you enjoy the track.

In October I played an improv set with an amazing local saxophonist. I finally got around to releasing the recording:

Karen Ng – Saxophone
Matt Nish-Lapidus – Bugbrand synth
