Eventually I may make a post about this album, but we are aiming to make 24 videos, one for each track on the album.

Over the past few months, I’ve been working on a mixed-media project called the “Gestlings”, written using a creative software ecosystem I built from scratch. It will consist of audio, video, images, text, and hypertext. Eventually it will live on my website at https://pbat.ch/gestlings

Here is the trailer:

Synopsis:

You have died. Under usual circumstances, you’d have been sent off to the Usual Places. However, due to the cosmic equivalent of a clerical error, your consciousness wakes up on what it perceives as a moving train, very far from home, and even further from that thing you called “reality”. The next stop? Cauldronia, a small celestial body that is the homeworld of the Gestlings. It’s probably going to be a while before they correct this mistake, so you might as well take a look around and explore.

Recently got the bug back for shooting video, it’s a nice refresh from doing solely photography.

Hope this gives someone peace out of their day.

got a LOT of new tracks and videos to share with yall !!

MUSIC:
autechre-esque jam on the dirtywave m8

Cruelty (using similar techniques used on the m8, but translated over to ableton live)

RAPID FIRE LOVE MACHINE (fun little bleep bloop glitchy song)

Abubu <3 (my heartbreak song :smiling_face_with_tear:)

i love making sounds that hurt (heavy crunky metallic texture based song)

one track pony (this one’s very fun because i’m using a 0.75 second midi clip of default wavetable synth on ableton and then constructing a whole track using only an effect rack)

creative sound design technique on ableton live using filter pinging and looper
(nothing new for modular folks but i don’t see many ableton ppl doing anythign like this :stuck_out_tongue: )

///

VIDEO (both made on touchdesigner):

Granulized Glitchmosh:

Seeing:

there are more because i’ve been constantly making new stuff recently, but these are the more “notable” ones imo

Another quick and dirty jam with the Yamaha SU10 Sampling Unit.

It showcases quite well all that you can do with it

Released a new album of weird lo-fi slowcore-ish stuff. This was one of those albums that felt like therapy to make. “Ghost Town” is probably the most upbeat and joyful(?) song I’ve ever recorded.

This impromptu mlre jam with an uninvited guest or the advantages of recording straight from your speakers
