Two primitive laptop studies using mostly waveset looping: the first composed, the second real-time projected via guitar amp.

Thanks!

Been fiddling around with the Strymon Magneto tape delay and Qu-bit Data Bender today.

And now, Volume 2 of Octopus Petting Zoo!

Naive early sci-fi soundtrack vibes…

Enjoy!

I have a new release out today called Shape Variations, it’s 7 alternate versions of tracks from last year’s Out Of Shape, recorded both before and after that release. Very techno-focused compared to past footwork/glitch-influenced releases, and diving further into my obsession with the schaffel subgenre. I wanted to do something for the collectors/DJs, and also get further away from the idea of one definitive version of a track - for the extra obsessive there could be some ideal playlist combining this with the previous EP.

The release also includes a music video by my friend Shimmering Ice Puzzle, a painter and animator who’s been working more with CG recently. For the cinephiles, if you click through to the Itch version of the release you can get the video in higher quality, plus a loop of the cover art animation.

Also, there will be a listening party on Bandcamp this Sunday - come say hi/ask questions, no purchase required to chat. Enjoy!

About a month ago I’ve bought myself a fretless bass, mainly to play with ebow.

This here is a relatively unhinged ambient jam using ebow, normal cello bow and normal -ish picking,
with enormous reverb-delay tail courtesy of Valhalla Supermassive and Sixth Sample Deelay.

A little patch idea sequencing the pitch of rings as well as the rate of an lfo (tides) going into the damping of rings

Had some time today to explore the Digitakt 2 and Moog Matriatch. Nothing overly complex here, I find it’s often simple structures that make good foundations
