A late revision of a patch I started a couple of weeks ago. After many tweaks, additions, and subtractions, I’ve finally come up with something resembling a finished piece of music.

I make these “Not A Demo” videos every now and then where I take a pedal I’ve recently acquired and, without actually reading the manual, plug it in and play it for 10-15 minutes, just to see what I come up with. Results may vary but it’s quite a bit of fun to explore unhindered… or blindly, whatever you prefer to call it, heh…
I’ve also done videos for Swan Hunter, Hypersleep, Mirror House, and Slow Loris.
first time posting my sounds here on the forum, been on a journey with my rytm for some time now, letting it lead me to new territories that I never managed to reach with any other instrument. I’ve always aimed for slow, repetitive, bass heavy sounds that capture me the most and I feel that the rytm is the perfect companion for this journey.

A modulated clock (Sitka Gravity), Expert Sleepers Disting Ex’s Soft Piano, some randomly generated gates (NLC Stochaos), some S&H with a CalSynth uO_C Quantermain for the piano, a pitch sequence (Doboz T12) for the Humble Audio Quad Operator sub bass, some delay (QuxBit Electronix Nautilus), filtering (Make Noise QPAS), a little robot speech from Plaits, and out. Modulation provided by a strong trio of Xaoc Devices Batumi II, CalSynth Changes (MI Stages 1:1 clone), and Addac Systems Swell Physics. Reverb is Stratosphere Cloud Reverb by Blue Mangoo on iPad.
I should note that the sub bass is low. The kind that shakes the room and you can feel in your stomach if you were at a show. C1 (32.7Hz), so make sure you’re using speakers or cans that can reproduce frequencies that low. I should know better than to go that low and would pitch it all up a third or so if I were to do this again, but this patch was all made in stream of consciousness as I pondered a very emotional end of a supremely wonderful chapter in life. Just patching, wiggling, and listening. I had little consideration for others who might want to listen, and make no apologies about making this one just for me.

About a year ago Dead Agent released a track “VCO Berlin” and shared his samples, stems etc (under a Creative Commons BY-SA license) to remix his track. I downloaded the samples & stems and played a bit with them. In the end this resulted in a remix. Have a listen and tell me what you think about it.
