Remix for the performance art duo New Noveta made in 2013, mostly using granular synthesis and phase vocoder processing of vocals. Thanks!
This is very good and hits the sweet spot for why I enjoy making mad listening to electronic music.

Something drastically different from what I usually do. Metal on the Ableton Move.

Released this epic 50 min travelogue through time and space to accompany my album The Fourth Turning. Making and rendering this almost broke my computer. The Final Cut Pro file was gobbling up all available memory like the Cookie Monster.

Here’s the soundtrack to my latest video installation. The whole thing is very raw, recorded in a single take each time, using my Serge system. Thanks

An excerpt from a 9/10/24 Buffer Meditations recording, something I’ve been getting more interested in where I improvise the loop first, then focus more on improvising with the resultant buffers. Scanning thru NLMM and DRADD buffers both have different tonalities and a differing balance of advantages vs disadvantages in use.
Industrial Music Electronics Kermit oscillator into Holocene Non-Linear Memory Machine and Pladask DRADD, swimming downstream in Strymon Starlab reverb. Visual Time and Space modifications by Modyfi.

Five electroacoustic compositions for performance art duo New Noveta. Various sound sources, most prominently featuring extensive vocal processing via computer. Link to free 48kHz/24-bit WAV download in video/playlist description. Thanks.

It was made using RunwayML which is an online AI video tool. I gave it my album art and then asked it to zoom in/out and crafted the prompt for each additional segment.
It was fascinating and frustrating to make in equal measure. Fascinating as you are constantly surprised at what you get back, which you can then build upon. Frustrating as a lot of the time it doesn’t do what you want and you end up burning mins / credits in the process.
In the end I generated hundreds of segments which were then stitched together, reversed, retimed & edited on top of. XOX

A noisy ambient drone track in VCV Rack that resamples itself. One of the first patches I’ve made in a while that doesn’t directly use the Teletype or Plaits.

Very cool use of Runway, I wouldn’t go down that route knowing the possible headaches (and price lol), but this definitely got this made-with-AI-Vibe while still feeling like it really stands its own ground creatively, well done!!!
By the way, this REALLY looks like it would work in combination with Gaussian Splatting, which means you could run this real time in unity or unreal and combine it with all sorts of classic real-time CG stuff…
Now I feel like trying it!!

Hi-Fi produbbed tapes are finally here for this twinkly ambient masterclass in using field recordings as an instrument (and vital part of the mix), not just a distraction or main focus point. Hanna’s music is always beautiful.

Thanks! I signed up for their Unlimited plan for a month and rinsed it as hard as I could. The costs otherwise are indeed crazy.
I’ve not heard of Gaussian Splatting, absolutely fascinating. Originally I wanted to learn Unreal to do the long tracking shots but the performance on Mac was awful (might have changed since). I’m definitely going to look into this G-Splatting though.
I wrote/recorded a synthy romance theme. Kind of a Wendy Carlos + Clara Rockmore sort of thing:

I used it to turn some videos I shot into 3D environments like this. Recently I’ve seen it being used with Runway’s camera movement feature to great results. Very nice stuff but I have to admit I prefer making music and staying away from the computer lately
