just did a little ‘quarantine’ jamming using a small eurorack skiff 42hp, designed by a friend using 3D printer.

Some Food for thought over a drone I performed last weekend:

Mientras dormías. Setting felt between the strings and the hammers, the piano sound is transformed with a new muted sonority, with which sometimes is difficult to play because a lot of notes almost disappear like a whisper and unexpected sounds get into the mics, like the touch of the fingers with the keys, the move of the pedals or any other sounds from the room. But I think it’s totally worth it, because that sound is intimate, very nice and it is another way of making music with this wonderful instrument that is the piano.
Besides the piano, I also use Compass, a virtual tape that moves automatically and reproduces the piano (I record it at the beginning of the track) at different speeds, changing direction towards and backwards independently for every L and R channel, jumping to another point of the tape,…everything in a semi-random way. It is like playing with a virtual partner that brings you back and in the most strange way the phrases you play.
And my beloved Deluge, that though it doesn´t have sensible pads, gives me a very expressive sound that I cannot miss in every track. The Boards of Deluge pack is from another planet.

Hello lines! Since my post got kinda swept over by all the other stuff going on on bandcamp and all I made this thread to share my work. There’s a little bit of trivia on the bandcamp and/or SoundCloud. There are still some download-codes left so hit me up for free DL :slightly_smiling_face: Stay healthy and keep on keeping on.

My rework track for Jaipongan music of West Java :

“… ratchets up the material with a Autechre breakdown of rewiring, buzz saw beats, dropped metallic ball bearings and zapped bass. For the most part these reworks wander in a serialism and ambient fashion of transcendence; the use of Hadidjah’s startling vocals especially lends itself well to these float-y deconstructions: It’s Jaipongan, but not as we know it.”

I’ve made a video for a track of mine.
Really enjoyed the process of making it.
Track is made out of couple squeaky door granulized recordings.
Visuals are made out of few 35mm film photos taken with a four-lens camera.
Curious what y’all think about it.

Hi there! It’s been a while. Sometimes you fall into a muddy self-disabling rut which takes a while to get out of… :slightly_smiling_face:

Anyhow, needed to freshen up the approach so started messing around with guitar again and exploring some open tunings. It’s an interesting way of reshuffling the cards a bit creatively on a familliar playing field. Started messing around with an old HP oscillator (it sings beautifully, got it from an older german gentleman who used it for hobby electronics), and improvising within my current live setup (layering it on the octatrack, 16n faderbank doing a great job of keeping the levels handy).

This is one of the more fruitful sessions that aligns quite well with an already existing concept mood-wise, so I’ve decided to put this one up as a release in that series. Hope you’ll enjoy it! :v:

Put together a first “album-shaped” thing. Still very much learning my instruments (which is also everybody forever, I guess), so it’s an interesting feeling of releasing something while recognizing all the things to keep working on.

Also considering a super-small cassette run and, unsurprisingly, the relevant thread on here has been very helpful.
