Uploaded new collaborative tracks :

All sounds made with only bone flute, use only instrument as sound source. Process to granular synthesis with program that based on MaxMSP. Approach in minimalist direction, truth of the materials, less effects only reverb, and all about between free improv, composition, and sound design.

Create modular patch that inspired by analog tape loops system in VCV Rack :

Like tape edits itself, introducing gaps, unexpected nature of looping, and bits of silence that create a lopsided rhythm.

I don’t normally post up single tracks but recorded this and it felt worth it. Voices are Just Friends, with some live sampling from Morphagene.

Adding to the pile of quarantine tracks! A few years ago I had a running “ambient diary” on SoundCloud that I’d upload periodically with new demos. Usually these were things made in a single day and recorded in a single take, without any post-processing. This was just a way to force myself to release things without worry about “finished” songs. I’ve found finishing songs during quarantine to be incredibly difficult, so I’m going to return to that old process. Here’s my first track back at it!

I’ve been exploring the modes of melodic and harmonic minor lately to break out of my usual habits… Here’s the first result. Featuring my piano and modular. Mainly two Even VCOs through the BF22 filter and Clouds.

Hope you enjoy!

Really nice stuff - I particularly like track 3 with its keyboard-sounding bits, on first listen.

I love Bach. His music always has this special thing that makes our hair stand on end, like if it could touch our hearts with every note. This past March 31st was the 335th anniversary of his birth and this is a small tribute to his music. Taking his Prelude nº1 from the Well Tempered Clavier as a base, with its marvellous and modulating harmony, I tried to make it my own and played it with my muted felt piano and included some electronics sounds. I added a melody and a bass with the Deluge and also two tracks with crazy effects with the Compass script for Monome Norms (one track for the piano and another one for the Olivetti)
Do you like my Olivetti Studio 44? I removed all dust from it for the video.

“Rustle” is a project about Alienised Public Spaces.

Using generated music and tones and music combined with edited field recordings, the aim was to create alien soundscapes from human environments. In collaboration with Media Butcher, the project expanded into an A/V work, and became about reinterpreting human spaces into unfamiliar and sometimes disconcerting audio visual scenes.
The project has been gestating and gently morphing for a couple of years, but, now seemed like an appropriate time to begin releasing such a work.

“Space Time One”, (the third released part), will be track one on the audio EP of the “Rustle” project.
All audio is created by Animal Botanic
All video is created by Media Butcher
