Using grid, crow and Norns to bring together Noise engineering modular and Bram Bos noir on the iPad to explore Relabi (which I discovered via this forum & have been intrigued by ever since)

This release goes further in my digital manipulation process. The original sounds can still be heard, but they take many shapes as the music progresses.

The titles come from a poem I wrote in Spain. I was struck by the size of a castle there, and the amount of space that was used by so few people.

Two 18-minute ambient numbers from a duo I have with a friend. He works with only cheap second-hand hardware, mostly late 80s / early 90s stuff. I muck about on my laptop. We both make field recordings (in this case: a bus ride through rural Japan; a summer evening in small town New Zealand).

We first released as a duo in 2005, but this is our first new stuff in 8 years.

Just released this! It’s mainly cuts of ambient/soundtrack-esque sketches and improvisations I’ve done over the past year or so.

Came up with this while trying out the Pamela’s New Workout’s new firmware which now allows you to send quantized values. Here I am using 2 channels to sequence the main oscillator by running them through the Voltage Math section and one channel to sequence the Slope section. As usual, playing things very slowly, running it through Live’s Resonator, Soundtoys’ EchoBoy and Little Plate with a bit of distortion at the end. It’s ambient, soundscapey and overall quite easy on the ears, I think.

If anyone’s interested in the full patch notes, let me know and I can definitely share them.

Here is a track I made with an Empress Zoia patch providing a bed of granularised guitar loops, a Digitakt bleeping and blooping, and a Volca keys through a Count to Five pedal. All going through an old fender amp, a Roland cube, and some crappy computer monitors and recorded live with a zoom h1.

I just released another album of music made with the Buchla:

exploring the "Serge-esque“ peak compressing of the VCA after re-calibration. And as well the saturation and “Auto Resonance Control” of the Serge VCFQ

Hadn’t intended to share this. Put it on Soundcloud so that I could listen to it easily on HomePods.

Now I think it’s worth sharing, even here.

SC text:
It was a rainy day. So I played with Rainmaker.

Tech notes: New Timbral Oscillator, sequenced by Voltage Block, to Veils, modulated by Pip Slope, itself modulated by Varigate 8+ (master clock), to Rainmaker (on the clock). Metron sequenced drum modules.

Oceans send rain.

February 2020 I turned 40, and headed north with a new Continuum and DP006 to see what I could make with them. It is a strange feeling now thinking back to such a recent time but such different circumstances.

Soundscapes Radio • episode nine

This 30-minute journey takes great inspiration from two weeks spent in Morocco in early February before all of this coronavirus nonsense started. It’s also the first episode for a few months, I took a little break to work on other stuff like Memories of Tsukiji which @howthenightcame visited; thank you Martin!

I’ll be back to uploading these monthly again, I already have twenty minutes of episode ten ready

First time for me doing a voice-over commentary.
In this video I made a Deep House track with the OT, Reface DX, MS-1 and Eurorack (ALM MUM M8 & Pip Slope, Koma VCA, MI Plaits) a break down the process part by part.
Enjoy!

Working on some stuff with extracting as much information as possible from a single (high-resolution) fader.

Things like Position, overall Activity rate, distance travelled, time between changes in direction, velocity (Distance/Time), and an integrated output inspired by Cold Mac.

Hello all,

I know the Cassette Releases thread very well and have perused the Vinyl Releases thread, but I’m surprised there isn’t a thread for digital-only releases of albums and EPs. Let’s start one!

Only rules would be absolutely no individual tracks and nothing that could be posted in the other two threads mentioned above.

I’ll start with these brand new releases on Ingrown Records:

Looking forward to seeing what everyone has been working on! Stay safe and be well.
