Nice!! I have also remixed this track. I mainly resampled the stems in various sampler tracks in ableton, slowed it way down and added little bits and pieces using the Lyra 8.

Wow, you destroyed the song and made something else out of the spoils and ashes. Really good job, I like what you did. Bravo.

ASTROGENIC HALLUCINAUTING
Late Night Noiz For Late Night Fiends
This piece was written after seeing the horrific murder of George Floyd.
The piece is designed by the sound of an inhale and an exhale.
This…representing the breath that George Floyd tried to acquire.
The primary sound source is norns running MANGL. @Justmat

Something small with a Yamaha Reface CP, count to five, and ditto looper.

Released this “digital deluxe edition” with the hope of raising some money for National Bail Out. Proud to say we’ve raised a little bit so far but hopefully we can raise a little more and do some good. Through July 1st all of our digital sales (including our full discography) will go to National Bail Out.

I’m excited to say that my latest art/science project is open for pre-orders today. It’s a 10" vinyl record and book that explores the evolution of phonaesthemes. These are words whose form seems to evoke their meaning directly. In particular, we took our inspiration from words in English that begin with “gl-” and all refer in some way to light, whose history can be traced back to a single word spoken over 5000 years ago. Here’s a wee soundcloud sampler:

And a short video documentary explaining the project:

You can preorder the record and book now from our bandcamp page: https://blackfordhill.bandcamp.com/album/sing-the-gloaming

I just recieved the Zoom stereo shotgun mic. I hung it from my ceiling fan in my studio and did some imporvising with MLR64 on a norns shield, then sent that to my other shield to (poorly) finger drum using Timber. Then I edited that down and quick mastered it. I made a soundcloud just to share with y’all :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

My wife drew a hotdog.

Just gotta start putting sounds out there. They won’t all be winners, but I’m going to start uploading a track every Saturday.

I have a track on a compilation on the theme of “heaviness”, broadly interpreted. It’s name-your-price on Bandcamp and all proceeds are going to Communities United Against Police Brutality. Mine is #23, “Guard Rails Sag”.

It consists of recordings of a malfunctioning headphone jack and a functioning vacuum cleaner fed through several types of delay in parallel (Delay, Echo, Grain Delay, Replika XT) and overloaded compressors/limiters (including @airwindows’s Pressure4 – I’m also using Console and a lot of Interstage). I was going for the feel of a complex system drifting out of its prescribed limits and a control system sluggishly (and increasingly ineffectively) ““correcting”” it.

I’m not really happy with the ending in particular, or more precisely the transition between the main body of it and the ending, but I ran out of time after thinking I wasn’t going to be able to come up with anything at all almost right up to the deadline, and then banging this out.
