I recently released my record in both digital and analog formats. It’s experimental in the tradition of those french avangardists I love so much (Bayle, Parmegiani, Henry et al), but at the same time not.

It involves quite a bit of modular, and quite a bit of DSP, which seems to sum up my musical life: use and abuse what you have.

I’m pretty happy with it, let me know if you are! Oh, and btw, Bandcamp is waiving its fees today.

Soundscapes Radio • episode eleven

The eleventh episode begins with a field recording from John Balaban’s travels to Vietnam in 1971-1972 during the Vietnam war to record the sung poetry known as ca dao.

This episode also saw me try to meld live instrumentation with synthesis a lot more than I’ve done in past episodes.

Also, a slight design change

Secret sneak preview of something i’m working on for the second Disgusting Cathedral album, casio keyboard, 4-track tape and homemade oscillator… kind of came out less dungeon synth and more Portishead than I intended

Wow! I like the combination of the machines with your vocals. This track sounds like a blend of IDM and singer-songwriter. Very inspiring!

I’m releasing an album on the 7th of August - what a journey! Creating an album is not easy, especially when doing it along side a full time job.

The lead track “Tides” is available now. Enjoy x

Lovely.

Are you planning to upload Ruido / III and Ruido / IV? They are listed at Bandcamp but no times are given. The download does not include them.

Thanks @zengomi another tracks are work in progress.

SICP // E-RM Polygogo, Erogenous Tones Structure, Yamaha Reface CP

I thought it would be interesting to capture the screen of the E-RM Polygogo and feed that into the Erogenous Tones Structure. I liked the results enough that I built a track around it. Full screen of the visuals can be seen at the start and end of the video.

Here is a bit of music featuring Marbles which I got two days ago! It is running plaits setting #2 and a segment looping LFO through ripples and clouds reverb. Clocked it to Logic and recorded a progression and then did a bit of chopping. Then added a bunch of other things in Logic.

A track featuring many layers of classical guitar, some processed in borderlands granular.

How did I not learn about the Teletype until a couple of weeks ago? I watched a couple of Joe Filbruns videos on YouTube and had to try my hands at it. Received my module on Friday and have had a feeling of pure creative magic ever since.

I was having a hard time explaining to a couple of friends exactly how it worked and what I was doing with it, so I ended up quickly putting this little video together… probably too quickly as the narration is not as coherent as it should be  …but damn I’m excited to see where I can go with this little module!

This forum has been wonderful while learning and debugging today! Thanks everyone here for all your wonderfully thoughtful and helpful threads!
