This demo is the first piece of music I have ever actually shared in public but I was feeling so inspired by Cheat Codes as a tool for writing and @dan_derks encouraged me to share.

This is all done in Cheat Codes then recorded into Ableton. The only sound source is a small synth riff and percussion sound sampled in Cheat Codes.

It is nowhere near finished because I want vocals and I am not prepared to sing and any arrangement would probably rely on the lyrics but it is the quickest I have ever put a piece together up to this stage. I was amazed at the fact that I could put something worthwhile together in an hour because of the genius of Grid and Norns as a user interface.

Here’s a live performance of some ambient works on the Deluge. I’d taken some time off from the Deluge, and it was great to revisit and remember why I enjoyed it in the first place: terrific synth/polyphony count, reliable and strong battery, great portability, good sound. I recorded the whole thing to cassette because, well, the sound of tapes soothes my soul.

[generative patch] Panharmonium being fed one Synth Tech ER370 VCO (doubled via a mult).

Notes sequenced by ER-101, clocked by Marbles.

ER370 is in MorphXY mode. X & Y parameters modulated by ADDAC 506 VC Stochastic Function Generator.

Panharmonium is lightly FM’d by Doepfer A-110-4 (its signal attenuated and offset by Frap 321). Its Mix parameter is modulated slowly by a Batumi channel (itself modulated by a Batumi channel). Its L/R outs go to MN QPAS, which is modulated by DivKid ochd.

This is my first use of Panharmonium. It’s doubtful anyone, even Dave R, would recognize its role.

during lockdown i began streaming modular jams pretty much every weekday, as a way to wash the day off and re-anchor myself, without a plan, and without any prep. some clips are here https://www.twitch.tv/eesnx/videos?filter=highlights . i sometimes let the last stream stay on for a day, in those it usually takes about 30 minutes for things to get going.

During the sunset the light changes and becomes almost magic. The sunlight have to cross a longer distance to reach our eyes and the colors seem brush strokes from a painting. A delight for the senses that in this time of the year reaches its maximum splendor. This piece requires a paused listening, no hurry. There is no directionality, like if time was freezed in this moment and it didn’t advance towards any place.

This is beautiful! I hope this won’t be the last you share!

Thanks…that is very kind. It won’t but I would love a singer to work with and help shape the amorphous music blobs I make.

Thanks @abalone!

I’m about done with this patch, going to give it out on the Cycling74 forums tomorrow(been making these everything-in-one patches, and people been asking me for the patches, so figured i’d make one specifically to hand out).
Thing is, I can’t believe how good this one turned out and now i’m not so sure i want to give it away :joy:

there’s a 4 minute version of a finalized render I uploaded to Vimeo:

and a 12 minute version uploaded to YouTube:

I’m pretty new here but I’ve been trying to make an effort to create more this year. Part of that was making a MIDI arpeggiator using a Teensy and then writing some pieces accompanying it. All parts are using the Felt Wolno plugin to keep things simple with a few effects here and there.

I still feel like I’ve got a lot to learn - especially around mixing but you have to start somewhere

Any feedback would be great.

In which the test pattern recurses and bulges; the Antiphon spring reverb is strong in this one.

Hi! summer is here, and so my little proyect of publish one track every week with limited gear.
This piece was made with Befaco´s Rampage as oscillator and LFO, sequenced (and transposed) with Doboz´s TSNM, Filter and Delay by Qu-bit´s Prism. Some processing in Ableton to make it stereo.

Happy listening!

these are great! nice feel, sounds like you’ve got a style/personality you’re developing(and the minimalism works well, you could add more instrumentation but it would need to compliment the subtlety that highlights your style already… so i’m not sure anything’s needed…), i don’t think you need feedback, just keep going with it :+1:

Hey all

Another 4 tracks from me, and one for fans of melodic repetitive electronic music. I grew up on early Warp so that’s definitely in the sound although it references lots of my old stuff as i try to reflect.

For gear heads it’s using stuff like K1, JX3P, R8, 101, Arp, the Elektron Rytm Mk2 is on the last track as a bit 808-y, i think the Sherman filter and prob some other stuff in there i forgot.

They are all live jams. Enjoy

My electro-acoustic composition for ACMC 2020. I made it with modular synthesizer, granular synthesis of Javanese music instruments on MaxMSP, and generative sounds in Pure Data.

  • ACMC is the annual gathering of the Australasian Computer Music Association, a place to show and discuss research and artistic progress in computer/electronic music. It’s a festival of performances, installations, workshops, and tutorials that inspire, challenge, and showcase the community.

New to the forum. A piece I just made. Enjoy.

Live sampling sounds from households, using 7 flex machines on Octatrack. There are only 2 patterns and 2 parts (which contain 14 different recordings).
